So glad they opened one of these up in SoCal. Their straight coffee is average, but their Mint Mojito and Gingersnap are ridiculously delicious. Definitely try one or the other!
Jacob Wonderbar is my fave - a dark, rich roast named for Philz CEO Jacob Jaber and recommended by Phil himself. If you're not up for the mint, the regular Ecstatic Iced Coffee is great + strong.

Adrian PhillipsAugust 16, 2014SF Favorite finally makes its way to LA. The coffee is great and extremely good value. Line up and wait for a barista to call you over. Favorite drink for a hot day is the ecstatic iced coffee.
You can choose from so many blends of coffee. Baristas mix in cream and/or sugar and then let you taste it before you accept it. I went with a large decaf Swiss Water Peru and enjoyed it very much.

Solid coffee shop. The "we put your cream and sugar in for you" shtick is a bit corny imo, but the coffee is good. Not a huge space but wifi, outlets, etc. All there.

A must-try is their signature drink--iced mint mojito coffee! It sounds weird, but I assure you, it's a treat!- Good coffee and good place to get some work done. Try tantalizing Turkish and some of their more original options.
All their roasts are delicious, but the Philtered Soul is truly remarkable.

The caffeine in a normal cup of Philz is normally too much for me so I usually do half Silken Splendor, half Swiss water Peru or a decaf Iced Mint Mojito.
