- Kyriakos G. 🍺 🍔August 27, 2017A huge outdoor market near the port, where you can find souvenirs in good prices and fresh fruits. Touristy but that's no reason not to try some traditional meatballs with vegetables and sauce!Upvoted Mar 26
- Smart GuideJuly 10, 2014Do you want to feel the soul of Finland? See its variety of culture and gastronomy! There are always fresh vegetables, berries and delicious Finish salmon soup!
- Fedor MuhosranskiyJune 15, 2017U can find here a lot of souveniers, berries, jam and other tourist stuff. Very crowded place, boats to Helsinki Zoo and Fortress Suomenlinna go from this place
- Otto AlfeldSeptember 11, 2019Brilliant market. Come here for all kinds of venison, baked goods, coffee and beer. Be sure not to miss the salmon soup at the " soup kitchen" https://www.katijafille.fi/soppakeittio/
- Square at Helsinki’s main south harbour that hosts an outdoor market at weekends throughout the year & most days during the summer. Mainly aimed at tourists, but the street food is very good.
- THE market area in Helsinki. Buy some fresh berries and vegetables, take a seat and have some coffee with pie or grab a ferry to various Helsinki islands!
- Frank TeschenFebruary 7, 2019The market on Kauppatori is certainly worth a visit. I especially liked the crispy little fishes that the Fins eat like chips. I am not big on fish, but those are really yummy.
- Giulia PratiAugust 28, 2018We were able to buy fresh cloudberries here from one of the stands. We had been wanting to try them after hearing about them from locals all throughout our trip.
- Kat RobinsonAugust 27, 2012FULL of tourists but I like walking around here... if only for a few minutes before escaping the crowds. Go here for your typical souvenirs (ya know, a reindeer pelt or two)
- Price for berries or fish plates varies +-2€ between vendors but the product is the same. Hot food might be at a discount starting around 4pm or whenever they start packing up.
- Matilda KSeptember 11, 2011At the Market Square you can find vegetables to souvenirs. Sip on a coffee and watch the bustle of the square and admire the near departing passenger ships. Maybe decide on a ferry ride to Suomenlinna
- Don't feed the birds at all! And the birds will attack your food immediately, so when a vendor hands you the food, cover it with one hand. Throw your trash in the bins-don't leave on the tables.
- Hadis KalantarJuly 23, 2016We had such a fantastic time having these wonderful salmone dishes at the seaside ☺️
- Timo MuttonenJuly 11, 2015Place to visit. Lots of stuff for tourists but alson veggies, berries and fish.
- mark cApril 17, 2012Take a stroll around at these markets, then you can hop on an easy ferry ride to Suomenlinna Fortress or visit the nearby Uspenski Cathedral.
- Juha RistolainenAugust 26, 2014Lots of booths selling produce. Other booths selling tourist crap. Beware the intrusive seagulls.
- Yaroslav KonanykhinJune 21, 2013Here you can buy any kind of souvenirs at the lowest price in Helsinki.
- lisaMay 31, 2015Cover your smoked salmon with something unless you want a seagull to snatch food from you ! #birddanger
- Marjorie CAugust 1, 2015Bustling place for those looking to hop a ferry tour or taking a trip to Soumenlinna but food options were tasteless, disappointing and overpriced and the souvenirs generic - complete tourist trap.
- Esteban NewtonJuly 9, 2017Expensive fish dishes, full of frying oil. Plenty of seagulls that attack unprepared people.
- take a ride with the old open streetcar through Helsinki starting from here.
- ᴡ PietikäinenMay 16, 2011If have any kind of "championship" celebration do skip if are shorter than 2m, cause can't see shit !!!!
