All processes are running very quickly, and also the airport is very wellorganized; you can pass the passport lines and can get your luggage just in 15 minutes...
I'm in love with Georgia! And it's mutually, even you can get it from free wifi "Tbilisi loves you"😍 The most friendlycountry ever! Georgian hospitality incredible!
The cheapest way to get to the city center is to take bus # 37. The bus stop is in front of the arrival hall and they run from 07:00 until 22:00. Ticket: 0.50 GEL. A taxi ride to the center: 25 GEL.
A small airport and still a lot of things and facilities to improve. However the airport is clean and has free wifi (check out their cool log in page).
The prices for Georgian wines and cognacs are around 3x higher compared to what you pay in Tbilisi 👎 Even in Ukraine I can buy it at least 1.5x cheaper. They call it “duty free” 😄Greedy bastards! 🤬
The best thing about this airport is an interesting gift to every guest from passport control workers - a small bottle of red Georgian wine ^_^ This is what I call hospitality
Use Yandex Taxi if you don't want the taxi drivers to overcharge you, it is like a Russian Uber. The airport is rather small for a capital airport, but it is easy to find food & coffee at least
Taxi from airport to city centre (and vice versa) should not be more than 25GEL. Haggle if you can. Although I rode a bus from airport to city centre when I reached, and only costs 0.50GEL!
Nice, modern airport, but definitely disorganized in terms of passenger queuing etc. Check-in and passport control were both crazy. Airportstaff needs to show people how to properly queue!
Taxi prices are crazy if you get it just outside. Uber is not there yet so use Taxify to get to City Centre for about 15 GEL. I spent 40 for such ride with regular taxi.
Small and fast. Border police are always surprisingly friendly In contrast to obnoxious security check. Have been quarrelling with them for a third year in a row. Disappointing!
If you have lost your luggage or received partly missing luggage go to the office that is located in the area of the baggage carousels, arrival hall. Maybe the fastest way to see what's going on.
The passport control and security check make you live with the Soviet Union. Slow, one by one, not optimized at all. It’s a pity for a country that want to develop tourism.
Quite small airport which lightens up at night, as the most traffic happens during the night time. Free wi-fi is available, however unstable and quite slow.
Operated by TAV Georgia since October 31, 2005 after the construction of the New Passenger Terminal which commenced on February 7, 2007, Tbilisi International Airport was improved to a level that represents the strategic significance of Georgia.
