- Mark DregerJune 28, 2015Tasty ramen; the broth is really good. It's nice to sit at the bar and look out at Valencia Street. Prices are a little steep for getting one slice of pork in the base bowl. But that's 2015 SF.
- Brook ShelleyJune 30, 2018Found my favorite new ramen spot in San Francisco. From the shiokara to the shochu selection, to the delightfully rich tonkotsu shio, I cant wait to come back for more food and drink.
- Nikola NinkovicSeptember 24, 2017Oh that broth! It’s so rich and tasty. Noodles were good, and egg was fantastic! Really liked the atmosphere. Staff is awesome! Maybe just a bit more meat in the bowl. Photo: Beyond Ramen
- Markus SpieringFebruary 24, 2016Go for the Orenchi Ramen, walk by the glass kitchen and see how everything is made (and how the Ramen is cooking for several days) and enjoy the architecture by Craig Steely.
- Shirley LiuJanuary 9, 2015Not as good as South Bay location but still good (esp the egg!). Make sure to try an appetizer in addition to your ramen, I really like the deep fried octopus dumplings and deep fried garlic.
- FionaJanuary 10, 2015Definitely trendy environment but all that faded into the background when food arrived. Really enjoyed my large (oomori?) Beyond ramen! The Orenchi ramen was a great start for my new-to-ramen friend.
- Alex LinOctober 28, 2014Beyond Ramen: roasted garlic, bamboo, thin sliced pork, & a thick/chewy noodle. perfect w/a cold beer. karaage is just bbq wings. agedashi tofu stole the day- bomb sauce. painfully trendy inside.
- The Beyond Ramen (unique to the Valencia location) had interesting noodles thicker than a typical ramen. The broth lacked depth though. I appreciated how the broth was light and refreshing.
- Pam ☕️ ODecember 28, 2014Get the Orenchi ramen if you're looking for tonkotsu pork broth that comes with a soft boiled egg. Egg is extra for the other types of ramen.
- Chris LeeDecember 1, 2014I love Orenchi in Santa Clara and now its in SF with appropriately Mission hipster decor. Great ramen with a hip-hop ambiance.
- Daryn LJune 25, 2015Great ramen! Stopped by a little after 1 PM, was seated immediately, and ordered spicy karage, cartilage, and Beyond Ramen with a soft boiled egg. Excellent lunch!
- Dave JensenJuly 16, 2015The ramen is excellent, of course. We also enjoyed the tacoyaki, made with actual taco (octopus). They also serve Japanese craft beer in bottles.
- Joshua HaftelMarch 25, 2015Pretty good, MUCH easier to get a table than in Cupertino. Would definitely go back. Happy there's now a decent ramen shop in the city!
- Curtis ShoungFebruary 7, 2020Orenchi ramen has a good gelatinous broth quality. Noodles are of the thicker firmer variety.
- Giovanna JonesMarch 21, 2016Love the walk up bar! Super cool, fun, hip atmosphere but wasnt impressed by the food :/ wouldn't come back (too many other great places in SF)
- They've played the best music out of any ramen shop I've ever been to. Tonight it was all about Deep House and Disco. Super trendy inside. The Ramen? Just okay.
- Frances 미라January 12, 2015Love the orenchi broth and noodles. Worth the wait. Long line outside? Go to Martuni's down the street for a drink while you wait.
- Shelly ZordichDecember 5, 2015The Orenchi ramen is excellent! The karaage with spicy mayo and a daikon salad is the way to go for an appetizer.
- _November 29, 2014Beyond ramen with an egg and the chicken wings are worth a try. Felt like a club because it was as loud as a club.
- Nikola NinkovicOctober 2, 2017Came again after just a week, I just couldn’t resist! Amazing ramen! Very nice staff, and lots of sake options!
- nils jansonJuly 11, 2015Even when the wait is super long, you can chill out at the outside bar and have your appetizers. Feels really New York.
- Lisa Harper CarterApril 5, 2016Love the vibe, always good music playing. The ramen here is consistently satisfying. Pair here with Zeitgeist for a great night.
- Winson WongSeptember 28, 2015SF version of Orench in Santa Clara but not quite as good. Orenchi ramen broth was flavorful but noodles was too soft, onsen egg not seasoned and pork too thin. Portion wasn't big. $12 for a bowl.
- I was prepared to be let down, but this place is really delicious. Orenchi ramen had great broth and thicker noodles. I'd wait for this again.
- Julia LuJanuary 17, 2019The Orenchi ramen was delicious! Put yourself on the yelp waitlist before you get there so you don’t have to wait.
- Kevin TMay 22, 2016Salmon roe rice was delicious and came with tons of ikura! Also recommend the Orenchi ramen!
- Pam ☕️ ODecember 28, 2014Super fast service once you're seated but it seems like they're trying to bus you put as soon as possible.
- Vivian WangSeptember 12, 2015Don't forget to add an egg to your beyond ramen! Also Bambi sake is the best
- Jenn NgNovember 20, 2014Come at 5 pm (or an hour before they open) and you will get into the first seating.
- Timothy HongJuly 20, 2018Fantastic ramen that is not too heavy or salty. Traditional style. Amazing.
- Amy BNovember 15, 2015If you're not a ramen expert you'll like. Basic flavor. Safe for newbies. If you are a pro you'll be disappointed.
- Jimmy LuApril 1, 2015Haven't tried Beyond Ramen, but the Orenchi Ramen was good. Probably close to best in the city.
- Dan WhiteApril 17, 2016Open till midnight on weekends, come after 10pm for super fast seating and service!
- Runqiu CaiDecember 8, 2014Ridiculous wait - put your name down before opening, come back 1 hour for seating. The ramen is good but fatty and not enough seasoning. Get the Orenchi Ramen
- the calamari leg appetizer is amazing if you love that seafood taste 😍
- Don OkudaDecember 10, 2014Put your name down and buy a beer at the counter or at a nearby bar while you wait over an hour to get seated.
- Agatha YuFebruary 13, 2015Pretty mediocre soft noodles. But if you are here try out their beyond ramen for a lighter tonkotsu broth infused with garlic
- Melissa DagdaganJanuary 7, 2017It's not as good as the South Bay location, but at least you'll get your Orenchi fix without having to drive 45 minutes (and then wait 2-3 hours).
- Noah WeissNovember 21, 2014Very good ramen, painfully hipster graffiti art and EDM. Get the Beyond Ramen, a lighter tonkotsu ramen broth with extra thick noodles and plenty of garlic. Start with the crispy chicken wings.
- Cassie XieJuly 13, 2015Banging tunes accompany super rich ramen noodles. Walk-up outdoor bar is pretty cool.
- Fantastic, dependable ramen spot. Low key, chill.
