- Mark BJune 12, 2016Beautiful. Extremely crowded. Get the skip the line passes to see the Musei Vaticano, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. Take water with you as it is very humid inside with all the crowds.Upvoted Mar 20

- MilošFebruary 24, 2018It's beautiful but crowded, cannot relax at all as the guards and speakers keep screaming NO PHOTOS. Go to the right door after to enter St. Peter's thus skipping the line from the square

- Şenan PostacıAugust 11, 2013To leave the chapel, head to the right door (which is only for tour groups) and try to tag along with a tour group. This will take you directly to Basilica di San Pietro without waiting in long lines
- Ginny McDaniel SummersNovember 3, 2018Expect crowds. This year the Chapel wasn’t as overcrowded as I’ve experienced in the past. It had good air flow, too. Nice time to really view and soak it all in, especially after restoration. ♥️

- Anne vdBMay 1, 2014The Cappella Sistina was built 1584-87 off the right transept by Fontana for Sixtus V Peretti. The main altar has 4 gilded bronze angels by Torregiani, holding up the ciborium, a model of the chapel.

- Holly W.June 24, 2017Remember to cover shoulders. They do offer free shawls if you forget, but can't go in without one. You have to wade through a crowd of people as seems only one way to get there. Don't go on weekend.
