Paul McGee's tiki drinks are always a winner. Start with the boozy Pool Rules, then try the smokey Hula Hips of Heaven. Finish off with the frozen Tic Tac Taxi. You're welcome.

Gives Ceres Cafe a run for its money on potent cocktails. Tropical tiki vibe is a welcome respite from Chicago winters. Looking for something not-so-sugary? Try the smoky, mescal-spiked Hula Hips.

I can't remember the name of the drink I got, but it was served in a parrot, and that's awesome. Great cocktails. I tried everyone's I was with, and they all tasted amazing.

The drinks are boozy without feeling to strong or sweet. Attention to detail is spot on, there's not one area inside where you don't feel like you've escaped to a tropical island bar. &the garnishes!

A hipster newcomer that nails it, in large part due to its well-crafted drink program. Staff are dressed impeccably in tropical prints, banana earrings, etc. Lush plants and filtered sunlight.

You'll probably have to bushwhack your way through a serious wait before settling in with a drink. But by the time you've reached your second cocktail, the crowds will become part of the party. Read more

I'm a fan of ...- but this place is even better. A good vibe with attentive staff. The drinks were incredible. I'll certainly be back.

This flotsam-strewn wooden hut-bar is a nod to Don the Beachcomber and an oasis of Chicago. It comes from none other than the mind of tiki demigod Paul McGee.

Absurd drinks but they work. Nicely balanced, not just sickeningly sweet. The Chinese place it's attached to and you can order from is better than you would ever expect it to be.

The Daily Daiquiri is the least flashy drink on the menu but awesome in it’s simplicity. It’s also how I found my new favorite rum.

So many good drinks. Apparently the banana daiquiri is amazing but I don’t like banana. The Lost Lake is always a good place to start.

Whether or not your tiki drinks come with flaming garnish is a matter of preference. You will surely enjoy them either way. If it's a multi drink night, spring for the Chinese food from Thank You.
