As a Japanese person living nearby, I really wanted this to be authentic. Noodles are ok but sadly the soup is far too salty + gloopy for me. Will keep going back tho as I need my fix of noodles!

The ambiance is nice and the staff is very friendly. The Ramen has a really good taste, the noodles just perfect. The bento box for kids is perfect for 3-5 years olds. Great experience, great price.

Hidden on hackney high St much bigger than it looks, cool decor, chilled vibe, no booking policy! Delicious ramen one creamy broth and one clear, tasty gyoza! Japanese beers and sake. A must try!

The Miso & Shimeiji Mushroom Ramen is great. So are many other things. Generally though Tokotsu East in Haggerston has the better vibe and a stunning venue 😀.

Tonkotsu Ramen and Chicken Kara-age are delicious. I always add extra egg to the noodles. So good!

I love Tonkotsu restaurants in general, but this one compared to the one in Haggerston miss that kind of original vibe and feel sort of a bit too chick. The rame is still porn.

The ONLY complaint is that there is only half an egg served on the ramen. Otherwise a great authentic eat.

Maybe it's the home ground advantage but it seems like the broth here is even better than at the other Tonkotsus…

there are shimejii korroke, which are similar to the pumpkin korroke of the Haggerston Tonkotsu, but equally delicious.

Service isn't great, gyoza is oily and the broccoli overcooked. Also nothing to dry your hands with at the back toilet. I really want this place to be good, so let's hope they get their act together.
