Torzin SDecember 25, 2014The best part of this garden is in the historic Tanglin core zone with colonial layout, orchid garden, authentic small rain forest, charming bandstand, lovely Swan Lake, a good place to relax.

Best place to jog and take the kids in Singapore. Jacob Ballas, the lake near Botanic Garden MRT has 100+ turtles and a black swan, red brick walk has a nice incline for jogging.Upvoted 1 week ago

Q ♡February 28, 2019It is indeed the best botanic garden in the world! The rainforest is a must see, it feels like the real Amazon there. And do not leave before taking a walk around the symphony lake. Simply beautiful!!
Spotted the belinjau tree (gnetum gnemon) near the Red Brick path, whose seeds are flattened to make a bitter but addictive local cracker/snack by the same name (or paddy oats or malinjo)

See if you spot Girl on a Swing, Swing Me Mama & Chang Kuda, amongst of the foliage -- some hidden right in front of u ;-)
Elina LiDecember 11, 2015Probably the best botanic garden. Very comfortable space to walk and feel the nature. Don't forget to take water and umbrella. Beware of rain. The evolution park is really impressive.

Perfect all day long. Morning and evening is perfect for running, the days for walks and picnics. Some good restaurants available as well. Sundays can be busy.

The big tembusu heritage tree - the tree where kids love to climb and hug and just to sit around, has been cordoned off. We just noticed it during our last trip on Sa- One of the biggest palm trees I've come across. Behind the Heritage Museum near Visitor Centre at Tanglin Gate
