Keep your Breeze card; you'll need it with you as long as you ride the system. If you're going downtown OR riding after 7 p.m. it doesn't matter which train you ride, otherwise it does.

Going to the airport? Park at Sandy Springs for five bucks a day! It's 42 minutes to the airport, which is as fast as or faster than driving in the morning and evening traffic!

Walk to the end of this station for a pretty good view of the jets landing. You can also see how crazy pick-up and drop-off gets.

The south end of the platform (away from the direction the trains enter/leave) is the closest to an observation deck that you'll find at ATL.

MARTA is perfectly safe and as clean as a subway system gets. Support public transportation and save a ton of money by riding MARTA to your Atlanta destination!

Very easy, fast and the cheapest way to get from the airport to downtown and vice versa.

Visitors may not be aware that thanks to several layers of completely incompetent local governments, MARTA only goes to places you certainly don't want or need to get to, except downtown.

If you use the MARTA often (e.g. for conventions), buy the MARTA card for $1 and keep it for future years.

If you love in the burbs, use the Park & Ride. It costs less than your gas alone, and you can relax for an hour instead of fighting traffic!

If you are visiting Atlanta definitely get a day/week pass. Definitely helps to get around if you but a City Pass

If you are heading over to midtown/Buckhead/perimeter direction, this is absolutely the best way to do it.

Make sure you get your seat first or the passengers will cloud the train with there baggage. The walk way is always filled with luggages.

You might have to wait for the train to leave, but any wait is better than driving in Atlanta (if my hair was long enough to grab hold of I'd've pulled it out in Wed's 5pm traffic).

If you're just visiting like me, be sure to take MARTA from the airport into the city. Only $2.50 one way and beats a $20 cab ride.

Be prepared to wait. Both trains are not always running. You may have to change trains at Lindbergh Center station.

Take either Gold or Red line to downtown ATL for just $2.50. Lines are parallel for first 13 stops.

Riding MARTA is better for the environment than taking a cab as well as faster than getting stuck in Atlanta's infamous traffic congestion.

If you want a red line train after 9pm, they terminate at Lindbergh. Take a gold line train from here to get on the red line.

If you lost your ticket or card you can still get pass the gate. Simply wait for the gates to close and then walk up really close to it (almost kissing it) and it will open. :-\
