Smooth sailing when traveling. Slide through the long tube-like rooms & find your plane. Terminal is clean, tidy and has free wifi. Also, this is where you can try to get real food. Good experience!
The pub in the mezzanine (1) floor is a great way to wait after having done the check-in (but before passing the controls!). Close to gate 17 there is a sightseeing of the outside, pretty cool.
Leave your shoes on when passing through security if they have metal in the soles. This way you can receive a free full body massage (and I do mean full) after you pass through the metal detector
Came by a Taxi.Stress Free!Flying w/Kuwait Airlines, having the best experience so far.very helpful happy Ground Crew.went thru w/ over 3 kilos allowance. Surprisingly clean, modern & swift service
Great restaurants such as Carluccio's for Italian ...and an amazing food shop with great gifts ...Costa Coffee and Pret a Manger for great grab and go ...
Amazing Historical City, traditional buildings, classical atmosphere everywhere! Enjoy British Heritage. BusTour is nice, London Eye, Undergrounds, Buses, Theatre, Fish & Chips, Hyde Park, enjoy it !
Here's one for the whole family! @Cath_Kidston in T4 is hiding our #HeathrowElf. First family to find him will be treated this #Christmas. Follow @heathrowairport on twitter to find her!
One of those airport where I would prefer not to be because the racism is so much! The moment the airportstaff sees the passengers are Indian/brown their attitude seems like that of a king/queen!
If it's very early and the tube/train isn't awake yet, try the bus. Takes about 10 minutes between T5 and T4. Stop 7 if you are at T5, towards T4. Free between terminals.
It's only when you go through one of the other terminals do you fully appreciate the passenger focused design of T5 - the current revamp of T4 will be cosmetic - passengers will still have a rat run!
T4 is, without a doubt, by far, the least looked after Terminal amongst all the 5 Heathrow Terminals, the basic problem is in the recruitment of the members of the staff, most of them seemed to be nov
Don't get in the wrong queue! Even if it's for the right zone and the right airline, check is for your destination, as the operating airline may have a different desk to the one that sold your ticket.
I can't help feeling that I am intruding on the security staffs' social time today. It's lovely to see you have so much to chat about, but can we hurry along a bit, there's planes waiting out yonder?
Use the oyster card which can be purchased from the ticketing counter . And take the underground Piccadilly line which only costs you about two quid sixty p. from terminal 4 to zone 1(peak hour price)
Prepare for a shocking & dehumanizing experience. Probably one of the most unpleasant airport security experiences I have had at an airport. This is what cattle must feel like entering an abattoir.
To get to T5, take the free bus 490 from bus stop 7 - exit the arrivals hall and turn left immediately, go to the far end past the smoking zone. Quicker than Heathrow express.
Dont forget any creams or small liquid containers in your carry on bag or else you will wait in a LONG line to have the bag emptied on a counter and every piece checked. Take forever.
We second the tip to take the Piccadilly Line, not the more expensiveHeathrow Express, into London. Before you go through security, note that the French brasserie here is pretty good!
Dont take a cab or taxi outside the areivals. Call a cab company instead they charge less and pick u up at the departure(just take a lift is upstairs ) ;-) Or take the piccadilly line
Terminal 4 is sadly one of the least furnished with restaurants/shops but Pret does a good trade in food that remarkably lasts a 7 hour flight stuffed in your hand luggage.
London Heathrow serves over 200 destinations in more than 80 countries. Whether you're arriving, departing or connecting, you'll find everything on the website to make your journey through the airport easy and enjoyable.
