- Daniel McDonoughAugust 2, 2016Tuna, w/ avocado, edamame, krispies, and spicy sauce is really good. It'll cost you around $15.50 but with the treat. Line moves very fast. Reminded me of Shake Shack efficiency.
- Anthony Tony SemadeniSeptember 19, 2016Really, really good. So much food, great price, great flavors. The restaurant is new, very open space and clean environment.I highly recommend coming to sons of thunder for the poke bowls.
- Cynthia DivinoNovember 3, 2017Yum! The Poké bowl was amazing. I had half and half octopus and Spice Ahi. It had just there right amount of sauce. The toppings were perfect! Really nice people too. Best Poké outside Hawai'i!
- Angela WenAugust 19, 2018Good sized portions and ratio of toppings to rice. I liked the salmon and octopus half and half combo! Lots of seating in the back. Perfect quick meal before going to kips bay movie.
- Julia WuDecember 11, 2015Delicious and spacious! Bahn mi burger was tasty, not knockout but yummy. Poke was a great deal and very delicious and filling for the price. Can't wait to come back to try the other stuff!
- BettyAugust 30, 2016Really fresh tuna and salmon. The spicy sauce is more like a mayo and is not too hot. About $15 with 2-3 toppings but will fill you up for hours.
- If poke is a trend then I hope it invaded everywhere. These guys are good. Personal touch to every order. Definitely get the bowls. Hot dogs weren't that special not compare to Crift Dogs.
- Kiwi WangApril 22, 2018Super tasty fish tacos! Been here for the poke bowls, which are great, but now the bahn mi dog is our favorite thing 🌭🙌🏼
- TiffanyApril 5, 2016The owners actually got the name Sons of Thunder from the Bible, which is pretty cool. The spicy ahi tuna poke bowl is really good!
- JiyoungOctober 19, 2016Fresh poke good quality and taste. I wish they would let you customize the toppings though.
- Jackie LhoApril 20, 2016Delicious and fresh poke served in a clean and bright interior. Highly recommend and definitely the best poke in the city!
- Narendra Singh PlahaSeptember 26, 2016Love this place. The wait during lunch is insane, but I guess that means it's good, right? I wish they had soy sauce, ginger and chop sticks available at the condiments station.
- Twinkle DenoyoJanuary 26, 2017Little bit more expensive than other poke place, but very good nonetheless! They offer a choice of cauliflower rice. And have very good soft serve ice cream for dessert!!!
- Ashley FoguelSeptember 7, 2016The poke is amazing here but don't touch any of their other things. The chili cheese dog is absolutely disgusting - the hotdog was dry and the chili taken from a can topped with cheez whiz!
- Michael GarodSeptember 29, 2016I ordered the salmon poke, spicy. It was flavorless, save for some mayo and spice. I might as well have been eating a block of fish with spicy mayo and a side of steamed rice from chinese takeout.
- Gianna NebbiaApril 20, 2018The seaweed salad on their poke has very intense flavor- I felt it took over the bowl. Watch out for that. Also crispy toppings are extra $$$
- Lea CeasrineJune 20, 2016Get poke here before this place gets overthrown by the fad hunters. The 1/2 1/2 of ahi tuna and salmon is awesome. Get extra avocado.
- Ashok GunasekaranAugust 12, 2018Great food and plenty of options to choose. Fast customer service and perfect for lunch.
- AmateurConciergeSeptember 7, 2016Poke bowls go chipotle...except not really because the ordering is done away from the prep and customization is limited. The spicy tuna poke bowl is indeed the bomb tho
- AnissaJune 5, 2016Great back area with lots of tables! Appreciate that the poke bowls come with seaweed salad!
- AditiMay 22, 2016Not only is this place high quality but the restaurant is beautifully done with big room in the back to enjoy. I eat spicy and their chili flakes are no joke.
- Kat CApril 14, 2016Ahi tuna poke bowl with avocado, spicy sauce, and garlic krispies. Get the sake in the red can.
- Poke and more poke! I go for the salmon with white rice. I also dig their ice creams.
- Garrett TJune 7, 2019Love this place! Some of the best poke and unique hot dogs in the City. Super friendly team, especially JP up front!
- Herve LarrenFebruary 28, 2017Great staff! I used to come here 2-3 times a week and I would have given it 5 stars but the quality of fish is not the same as it used to be.
- Kevin StappDecember 10, 2016Spicy Ahi Tuna Poke with avocado and krispies over cauliflower rice. Delicious!
- Tim LeeMarch 11, 2017Poke is solid. Consider extra sauce, spicy or otherwise and also load up with extreme like avocado and crunchies!
- Angela ZhangDecember 18, 2015The service is friendly and the poke is good but the portions are a bit small. What looks like a huge cup of poke and rice is mainly just rice. And the $1 side of nori was literally a spoons-worth...
- Alia Ormut-FleishmanSeptember 2, 2016yummy poke in a fun, trendy, surfboard-on-a-wall, cas' setting. Get the half and half poke option!
- Rock RainesJuly 17, 2019Any of the bowls are fine. Feel like splurging $1.50 for lemon cauliflower rice? Go for it!
- Fantastic new lunch spot. Get the poke bowl with tofu and spicy sauce. Healthy and delicious
- Travis BloomMay 23, 2016Pokiworks might edge out ahead in a head to head taste test but this place is still delicious and their seating space in the back is awesome.
- Jingyi FengMay 27, 2016So healthy! Very delicious! Try half and half ( tuna and octopus with avocado)!
- IrmaZandl ZandlSlantApril 16, 2017Good but not my fave. Still prefer seamore's and wisefish poke. Love the ambiance
- I go with the half tuna and half salmon spicy. Pretty much just adds spicy mayo on top
- Sel KurunApril 24, 2016Half & half salmon and ahi tuna Poke was phat. Interior kinda look like psych ward.
- Emily ScheerAugust 19, 2016Great fresh poke, but a little pricey. Their peanut butter milkshake is also EXCELLENT!
- TomJuly 10, 2016Not the best but the poke is decent. Options are limited. The ingredients are fresh and there's ample seating. The poke is worth a try, skip the hotdogs.
- Get best the best of both worlds and for the half and half with salmon and tuna poke.
- Michael G.December 12, 2017Best poke in the city. A little pricey just to have as a lunch but worthwhile
- Mullica ZudsiriJanuary 20, 2017Definitely do the half and half. There's so much space and seating here. It's great!
- Pretty good poke but the toppings are not unlimited like other places so it can get to be expensive. Also the selection of toppings is mediocre at best
- Colin LeeJuly 28, 2018Portions on the small side. The option to have cauliflower rice is very nice (extra $ tho)
- Don't go between 12-2 - it's a madhouse. Do get the poké bowl half salmon, half tuna spicy though!
