- This is the same pier as in the movie Falling Down with Michael Douglass. The old one was damaged and rebuilt. This is the re-incarnation. It's much cleaner & much more of an open courtyard now.
- Westin Hotels & ResortsApril 18, 2014The Venice Fishing Pier dashes straight out into the ocean, cutting its way between brilliant blue waves—surfers on one side, the sandy stretches of Malibu and Santa Monica up the other.
- Andrea PeixotoAugust 20, 2019Beautiful pier to feel the fresh breeze from the sea. Search for the seals which swim around the area waiting to get some fish from the many fishermen there.
- William StudartDecember 28, 2015The sunset is a must see, great place to walk or ride a bike, crowded for the most part, but you can even fish there
- Fernando SantosSeptember 5, 2014Great place to talk to Seagulls, the are really close and talk back to you!
- Kevin DNovember 7, 2014Great views. That said, beware of the bird gang at the end of the end of the pier—the seagulls are very intimidating.
- Raina SharmaDecember 3, 2015Its a must visit in LA! Experience a walk full of art & artists. Shop & enjoy beach sunset with a beer!
- Paul T.April 25, 2016Fun to see surfers catch waves and people watch. It is surprisingly clean and safe.
- Perfect location for a nice walk, a view of one of our amazing Sunsets, and a breath of fresh air
- Derek JonesSeptember 6, 2014The only element of interest here is the breathtaking vista at the end of the pier. It is fisherman otherwise.
- Skywriter11July 31, 2014Shrimp jicarita is the absolute best. Traditional mojitos are the best too. HH is 4-7
- Your Neighborhood StudioNovember 15, 2010Boogie Up the Boardwalk 2010 started at the Venice Pier - look out for us next year on National Dance Day (July 31) and join our dance parade: starting at Venice Pier and ending at Santa Monica Pier!
- Gyozo NagyMarch 31, 2016There were more dogs and people did not walk their bikes. Beside that this is a nice pier with safe guard service.
- Jon SanchezAugust 13, 2015Venice, the Pier, the Strand, and the parkway all seem dirty to me. It's unfortunate. They need to clean it up.
- Jennifer DylanFebruary 23, 2015Will NEVER come back here !! The beach is owned by angry bums! I was cursed out twice just walking down the board walk! The city should really do something!!
- Niels MayerApril 17, 2013Use twc wifi available near 'the terrace' so you can check in w.o. Running up bill
- Runners . . . Use the bike path. Pedestrians/Marijuana solicitors clog the other path. About 3+ miles between Venice and Santa Monica Piers.
- Dericka N Brandon YoungAugust 22, 2013We felt harassed by the homeless and the guys selling cds. It made for a very unpleasant visit to Venice.
- Jonathan WellsDecember 30, 2011Dec-Feb is sand sledding season. Bring a sled and slide the sand berms near the pier
- Dave GilesJuly 17, 2013If you want to see ALL walks of life then head here for the day. Stories abound.
