- Kars AlfrinkJanuary 16, 2016If you don't care for satay or just feel like a healthy meal for a change I can recommend getting the thunder tea rice. Rice with lots of veggies that comes with a herb-laden broth to mix it with.
- Murat SJanuary 30, 2016Eat at The Satay 7-8 on the side street. better than the places inside. go for the beef and prawn sticks... have your wet tissues with you. there is free WiFi all over the place👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
- Christina MicheleAugust 3, 2016Best satay, stall 8-9. Classic Indian stall inside - everything is authentic and delish, try biryani rice + butter chicken + spicy spinach!
- J. T.November 16, 2012Make sure to be on time and try some dumplings from Tim Sum, best dumplings in Singapore, Then you can go outside for some mutton and prawn satay, you can buy a draught of Tiger beer at a good priceUpvoted Mar 9

- A HazetJanuary 30, 2023victorian style building food court in the central business district. Many dishes sold here, no worries about HALAL status that we can choose, even plate & cutlery separated from non halal #CulinarySG
- Pawan BharariyaJanuary 24, 2014One of the best food court in CBD....all types of cuisines...great space....and high quality food...can't get enough of it...can try different delicacies all month without having to repeat....
- Christina MicheleOctober 25, 2016Try the Roti and Egg prata from the stall/food cart near the Satay stalls! Amazing!
- Ben MackeyAugust 11, 2018Probably the most touristy of hawker markets in Singapore, but still a great experience. In the evenings they also close the street outside and vendors sell satay.
- Alex ADSSeptember 8, 2015I wish I could walk thousands of miles just to eat the oyster omelet at Lau Pa Sat. So far one of the best meals served there. Free wifi available like in most of food courts in Singapore.
- NesSeptember 25, 2018Enjoy the open air barbeque in the evening and try a variety of Indian, Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. Wantons, noodles, satays and more!
- The vegetarian tendon set from the udon stall is satisfying, especially their kakiage. $6.80
- Jerrald NgDecember 12, 2018Come in the evening as the side road will be closed where vendors set up stalls and makeshift tables and chairs. Order the satays and bring along some wet wipes! Toilets are available too.
- Dara FisherJune 18, 2015One of the better known Hawker Centers, at night they close down one of the side roads (I think Robinson), set up little tables, and bring you lots of grilled meat on sticks. It's great.
- Always good here, arrive between 7pm and 8pm for the best chance to get a seat. Some of the hawkers are quite pushy, but just say no and only buy what you really want. Its a little expensive
- Noah WeissDecember 3, 2017Insanely delicious hawker market with stalls for everything from noodle soups to northern Indian food to fresh juices.
- Ronald SuwandiJuly 24, 2016Of course satay stall #7 and #8 is awesome. But if you feel like having something else than satay, roasted delight is an excellent choice. The noodle is nice and chewy
- Richard BurkhillDecember 11, 2023It is definitely more upmarket than other hawkers but doesn’t feel touristy. Great live music in there on certain days, wide Asian choice and drinks to choose. #
- Came here numerous times in the span of a week and tried a large variety of food stalls. Everything we had was great!
- Pete IannettaOctober 25, 2014One of the few outdoor food markets left in Singapore. Grab a seat and select from myriad of food outlets. Have the sweet chilli crab! You can drink the sauce. Great spot
- Many food choices available! Especially love the halal chicken rice and kimchi fried rice! There's even a bakery in the middle of the food court. Use your kopitiam card for 10% discount.

- Jess ThiaSeptember 10, 2014Supper from Satay stall no. 7 & 8 (for tourist's standard), & other BBQ stuff. The nice BBQ chicken wings & rojak stall is hidden at a corner on the right side of Boon Tat Seafood stall.
- If you can’t take the day heat, come after 8 pm. Cooler & less crowded. Go for satay & fried oyster egg
- Best cereal prawn in SG! I ordered it from the staff in orange shirts.
- SteveApril 7, 2016Originally used as market (Lau Pa Sat means 'old market' in Hokkien), this wrought-iron canopy was freighted out from Glasgow in 1894.
- Nigel Choi 🇸🇬August 31, 2014Reopened with new facilities. Improved ventilation with huge fan installation. Thumbs up for the renovation project.Upvoted Feb 13

- MASAYOSHI HOSHIKAWAMarch 8, 2015Recommend fried hokkien mee nearby juice stand. The stall open until about 12 midnight. Most stalles close about 10pm.
- JaneApril 23, 2015Recently renovated in 2014. Insane crowds at lunchtime, come around 11:30am to avoid long queues. Sit outside on Satay Street for dinner.
- we tried chili crab and cereal prawn and for someone who is not into spicy food,I did love it!
- Best teh tarik is at the road-side stall with "Kopitiam" signboard. Learn to eat in the haze from the satay stalls!!
- Julia EstreborAugust 20, 2014My SG local bff was surprised to know i had lunch in this rundown market. But, its here where I tasted the most delicious chicken rice at only $3. Lol.
- The Thunder Tea Rice stall serves one of the better versions of the Hakka dish, according to food editor Tan Hsueh Yun. What do you think? Source: Sunday Times
- Simon TanDecember 31, 2015Come in the evenings - there will be satay stands set up just outside the pavilion. Minimum 10 skewers is okay, since they are small.
- Freesoul YMay 3, 2016Famous food market for local food and will offer bbq at night. Many choices with reasonable prices.
- Another TravelerFebruary 13, 2015Thunder Tea Rice is pretty good and healthier than most options there. Still affordable too.
