- Behrad EatsOctober 12, 2016The Sapporo-style Shoyu offers a lot of complexity and depth to its flavor due in part by the sautéed garlic, onions, bean sprouts, and ground pork. Do it big with some extra nitamago and pork belly!
- Behrad EatsOctober 12, 2016Mapo Tofu Poutine is a well executed fusion dish! Crispy french fries smothered with mapo tofu, ground chicken, mozzarella curds, & freshly ground Szechuan peppercorn.
- TommyOctober 9, 2016Although v busy, we were seated quickly; the food came out wonderfully fast and the Shoyu was delicious (good smokey soy sauce flavor). I tried my friend's Vegetable ramen which was also top notch. 👌
- Amanda BethFebruary 5, 2018Great ramen for great prices! The shoyu is a very bold broth with a lot of flavor. The regular size ($13) will definitely leave you full, but they offer small bowls for $8 as well!
- Amy GraffDecember 15, 2017Solid ramen at reasonable prices for the area ($8-9 small / $12.50 & up large). Flavors are punched up for US palates relative to Japanese originals. Great apps - love the pigs ear & roasted kabocha.
- Daniel GraysonJanuary 3, 2017The okonamayaki Springs rolls were great and exactly the right okonamayaki flavors. The shoyu was great. The ambiance was fun and the service was just as great. First time here, but I love this place.
- Justin HendersonNovember 3, 2017Got the Shoyu on my first visit and it was excellent. Great Broth and noodles which seem basic but really make or break my Ramen experience. Take out was quick and very convenient as well!
- Irena PierovaAugust 14, 2018I like this Shoyu more then everywhere in DC. Great happy hour till 20:00 on weekdays and till 17:00 on weekends!
- Good, hearty ramen! Gotta have their steamed mussels and their crab rangoon. I ordered their Shoyu ramen.
- Lucia TheresaSeptember 16, 2017They have some Oktoberfest specials right now. The pretzel is HUGE. Also, beer cheese. Nuff said.
- Peter RDecember 17, 2017Excellent Raman. Lighter broth than in others places but much more interest main flavor than other places in dc. Starters were great
- Shoyu broth is a wonderfully subtle example of the genre without being boring at all. Ma po tofu poutine is an entirely new genre.
- Mimi NguyenSeptember 8, 2017Delicious ramen and small Japanese plates. Highly recommend checking out their happy hour deals 5-8pm
- Mac BellingrathApril 9, 2017Asian sangria on draught, shoyu ramen, and tofu poutine make this place a new favorite.
