Offbeat L.A.May 5, 2020The Unique Theatre was built in 1922 on E. 1st Street in East L.A. It was majorly renovated in 1935 into an 11,532 square foot theater with balconies and movie screen.
- Offbeat L.A.May 5, 2020Today it still operates as the Unique Dollar Store. apparently behind its wood planked walls and cheap plastic trinkets, the dusty bones of the original old theater and its screen still stand
