One of my favorite meals in DC! The menu changes often, but the brioche toast topped with uni+ikura+perfectly scrambled eggs was mindblowing. Also highly recommend the nori-infused white rum cocktail!

The menu is certainly a daily-changing moving target, and it does kick off with 10 or so options for nigiri and sashimi, reflecting the most sterling seafood that Tien, who runs the kitchen, can find. Read more

Yes, there’s a solid selection of nigiri and sashimi for those who want to play it safe, but we recommend heading for more unfamiliar territory—like uni paired with Alabama white sauce. Read more

Japanese inspired dishes and creative cocktails with unique spirits. Loved the eggplant and karaage / fried chicken. Want to try to the buffalo “wing” next time. Drop by at 5:30 to put ur name in

Incredible dining experience in an intimate space with an ever-changing menu. Portion size is fab. Dishes have clever touches of Japanese influence. Great cocktails, vermouth, wines. Amazing service.

Delicious! If you can, sit at the bar which is essentially the chefs table. Get the Squash, Cornmeal Oysters, Fried Chicken, Tuna and Watermelon!!

Best restaurant I've been to in D.C. This year ! Everything is amazing, but the Sakanah toh kokonattsu (yellowtail) stands out. Perfect cocktails ! Try the old Cuban and salt + pepper singani

    Been here 5+ times
There is no wrong answer on this multiple choice menu! The oysters, heirloom tomatoes+strawberries, hamachi+orenji, karaage+biscuits, selection of rose and cocktails made for a delightful dinner.

Get the karaage: buttermilk-brined fried chicken dredged like Japanese-style karaage and served with Korean gochujang glaze, house pickles and Kewpie mayo.

Amazing food. Menu changes daily and is easily the best spot to dine in Petworth.
