Verde Mexican Kitchen & Cantina is a Pittsburgh-based restaurant that celebrates the rich culinary diversity of Mexican cuisine and spirits.
First decent Mexican restaurant in Pittsburgh. Try the carnitas and the margaritas but the guac is a ripoff.
Just okay Mexican food. Nothing amazing. Had a decent Virgin mojito, and an average carne Asada.
Great selection of tequilas and mezcals.
Sit at the bar! Free chips and salsa and half off apps!
The entrees were over cooked and the Friday night wait time was 30-40 minutes from our order to getting the food. The Citizen Cane was amazing and the quesadilla al pastor is a great app.
Food is excellent and the service is great - on all visits, the ower stopped by to check on our table.
The chicken tacos are amazing. Period.
Try not eating the food. You'll be glad you did.
Get the bartender to make up a flight. This one is awesome.
Make a reservation during restaurant week!
The guacamole is amazing!
Get the flautas. You're welcome.
The "Mexican-French" toast is mind boggling good!
Sat for 15 minutes and no one took a drink order.
Try the new brisket quesadilla
Thursday nights bottles of wine are a third off.
You could ask for the cool digital tequila menu but all you really need is a shot of the Illegal Joven and its accompaniment - both for sipping. It's heaven!
Try the pozole and one or more of the 150 tequilas
