- Melanie RobitailleJune 11, 2013One of the best restaurant I've been to! The sea bass is to die for & the Kobe Beef Tataki cooked on a hot stone directly at your table is quite creative. Have to try it when in Miami/Fort Lauderdale
- Kirill FuchsNovember 26, 2016Recommend the wagyu carpaccio, and the ginger lamb chops. Also has a very good sake menu. If you're not a regular sake drinker try their Makoto Private Label, it's floral, light, and not too sweet.
- Derek FFSeptember 22, 2015Great service, comfortable place with calmful lights despite it is crowded. The meat is delicious, as well as some specialties like the Tuna Pizza. The sushi ingredients are well balanced
- Amazing food, nota 11! The short rib yaki is a food from heaven! Beware that the Japanese risoto takes 40min to prepare and the only downside of the restaurant is that is too noisy
- Henrique Della MannaApril 23, 2014Ask for the Kobe Beef in the hot river stone! And take your time to appreciate it. Just perfect! And by that I mean so fu#%ing good! :1)
- By far the best sushi in Miami Beach. Hamachi Ponzu and Crispy Spicy Tuna Rice are the best dishes. Small plates for all appetites, including vegan!
- Liza AltmarkMarch 3, 2013Abandon all of ur favorite sushi places and run, Dnt walk to makoto. Before u even sit down, ask if Jesus is at the sushi bar. If he is, sit down and put your fate in hands and you will be blown away
- Nika VaskaMay 11, 2018One of the best Japanese restaurants in the area. Always very crowded. But the food is always good quality.
- EaterMay 14, 2012In addition to the raw stuff, Makoto's modern Japanese dishes and bincho charcoal robata have even the most finicky fashionistas fawning over the fare. [Eater 38 Member]

- Bullfrog & BaumSeptember 14, 2011Makoto offers the full range of delicious Japanese fare, from high-end Wagyu or Kobe beef to fresh sashimi and sushi. Try the tuna on crispy rice.
- The rainbow roll, Japanese caprese and tuna tataki are delicious.
- 🍕Lisa R Henderson 🍕March 1, 2014If you frequent Nobu for the spicy tuna & crispy rice, skip it here. Nobody does it like nobu! Salmon and toro are very good though.
- RajFebruary 15, 2019Food is good but overpriced. Sushi was excellent, especially the o-toro and the unagi. The miso cod was the same old take on Nobu’s invention
- Cold sesame noodles and spicy tuna on crispy rice are the way to start the meal.
- Luis NoronhaSeptember 11, 2016Besides the food that everybody likes, the green tea caipirosca is excelent.
