It's the best live music venue in the city. It's not overcrowded, good sight lines are abundant, and it sounds great. Security is serious. Like, metal detector serious, so leave your gizmos at home.

It is totally focused on innovative proposals but it is the oldest performing arts center in US ( it opened in 1815). There are great cinema and theatre programs and amazing concerts. Read more.

They have everything you would want, live music, froze coffee ( a must), peanuts and cheap drafts including the banquet beer. They also have good craft beer too.
This 3,200 seat theater has been beautifully restored. Some great concerts coming up, worth a visit.

Gorgeous restored French Baroque- formerly a movie theater, now music venue. Easy, free parking in the front and back.
Great music venue... but better yet, the scene of some of the quirkier Brooklyn events (scavenger hunt, Lamb Takedown, etc).
A bit off the beaten path, but one of the best music venues in the city. Friendly staff and great drink selection. Stand just to the right or left of stage and you can usually get pretty close up!
