The museum's permanent exhibit is worth a visit on it's own, but try to pick a date when someone else is also showing their art. Amazing architecture, Instagram-ready.

Great staff and outstanding exhibitions. Enjoyed it a lot. I recommend this to anyone who is at least slightly interested in either design, everyday objects or fashion.
The Berardo Collection Museum in Belem is a wonderful place to see modern and contemporary art exhibitions (temporary and permanent). This is also just in front of the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos.

best aquarium ever. They have the most beautiful penguins exhibition and the central aquarium is designed to be seen from every point. The temporary exhibition is beyond amazing

Absolutely fascinating. Portuguese Art of Azulejo tiles making. Centuries of creating beautiful pieces. The exhibition is not huge maybe but def worth a visit - unique objects & beautiful building
All types of azulejo exhibited chronologically ; you can take part in a workshop and paint your own tile.
The museum has their own free app as audio guide, wifi is available in the entrance. Bring your earphones and enjoy the exhibition!

This museum is where you'll find the beautiful works of artist Maria Helena Vieira da Silva and her husband Arpad Szenes, as well as other important Portuguese and foreign artists.
Vieira da Silva was a great painter. This museum is a must for art lovers
