A good way to start the day in hip Daikanyama. It's a little pricey here, but the atmosphere is very lovely. After your fancy pancakes, you can mosey on over to the best Tsutaya bookstore in Tokyo.

Some of the best pancakes of my life! And free refills on coffee! No English menu, but the waitresses were very kind and patient with us clueless tourists while we tried to figure out what to order.

デザート系パンケーキはふわっふわ。紅茶を頼みましたが、葉っぱもこだわってて美味しかった。店内に入れてから、さらに30分は軽く待ちます。「パンケーキ食べに行くイベント」の気持ちで行くといいかも。

トラジャコーヒーと石窯焼きのトースト類やホットケーキが頂ける路地裏カフェ。石窯焼きトーストはあつあつふわふわの不思議食感が美味しいので冷めないうちに召し上がれ。(写真はアーモンドトースト)
休日は朝から大行列に並ぶ覚悟が必要。入店後も石釜系の食事、パンケーキやフレンチトーストなどは調理に時間がかかります。好みの問題ですが、フレンチトーストは途中で飽きるので複数人で別のものを頼んでシェアすることをお勧めします。
石釜焼きホットケーキはフワフワ優しい味で美味しい。添えてある生クリームはシュワッとしててそんなに甘くないのでメープルシロップかけて一緒に食べるとちょうどよい。フレンチトーストも人気で、まるでプディングみたいに柔らかくて個人的には好みの味。数は少ないが、ピザトーストやカレーなどの食事メニューもある。

The seasonal fruit pancakes are very good. The actual pancajes are so soft and fluffy. The melon pancakes are also good with cream. Also the juice bags are delicious and convenient.
Good breakfast places are hard to.come by around Asasuka metro station and this is definitely the best one. Bagels with salmon and salad, avocado or an english breakfast with a good coffee or tea!

The vanilla & macadamia pancakes were soooooo yummy & surprisingly light. Very generously covered in macadamia. Nice large outdoor seating area too.

For a theme café, ARTNIA is well priced (pancake + soft drink set, ¥1200) and the food is delicious; quality tea and coffee, nice fluffy pancakes. The café itself is classy, too.

Pancakes are amazing, drinks less so. Don't forget to check out all the merchandise. Their ARTNIA branded rose tea is a good buy.
