西武池袋本店のリニューアルされた屋上。緑豊かなフードコートという印象。休日は混雑していて席を見つけるのが大変かも。
バッグなどの手荷物はコインロッカーに預ける必要があり、屋上に持ち込めません(スマホなどのポケットに入るものは可)。100円玉が必要ですが、帰るときに返金されます。
屋上も良いのですが、ワンフロア下の屋内回廊も照度抑え目になってるので夜景がきれいに見えます

屋上庭園が和む。意外と知られていない。
【東京都選定歴史的建造物】選定名称は「伊勢丹本店本館」...建築当時世界的に流行したアールデコ調の装飾をふんだんに使っている。装飾性の豊かな低層部分の上に、外観の柱で垂直線を強調した上層部分が続き、屋上には明治通りと新宿通りに面して二つの塔が建つ。
屋上緑化もここまでいけば立派なもの。落ち葉のコンポストで土ができれば循環し始めるね。

It's smaller than expected, but it's an oase amidst of the buzz of Shinjuku. So, if you have time to spare, just have a look.
コンパクトはデパートの屋上。ミニ観覧車、足こぎ電車・バス、100円？で動くアンパンマンの乗り物、飲料と17アイスの自販機、トランポリン、休憩コーナー、キッチンカー(営業時間がすごく限られる)、トイレがあります。飲食物持ち込み可で、マックやケンタや神戸屋の持ち込みが多かったです。ステージもあるけど何かやってるのかはわかりません。土日も混みすぎず、小さなお子さんにとってすごく楽しい場所だと思います。
東急プラザがオープンした1968年から観覧車がありました。その後、老朽化にともない1986年に観覧車も２代目となりました。2014年の東急プラザリニューアルに伴い撤去予定だった観覧車もリニューアル。１回300円
