Metrlink holiday train is at the station getting ready for a trip to Chatsworth. On track 5B if u have a few min check it out!
Park underground at union station for $6 and save on parking. Then take the DASH to wherever you need to go for $0.25
If you don't want to pay the outragous prices for food inside union station, try the taco truck located at the of the metrolink rail tracks.
Parking is cheap, and even cheaper if you take the Metro Red Line.
Look for the small koi pond south of the main building in front of the Met Water District building.
Sheriffs officers are always out during rush hour. Give them a dirty look and tell them to go fuck themselves
I love if you save your metrolink stub. You can ride the subway or buses all day! Thanx
The rail to rail would be great if Metrolink and Amtrak made even the slightest attempt at coordinating schedules.

RolfMarch 19, 2010Hungry? Walk out the front doors and across the street to "Olivera Street". it's a sanitized Tijuana and actually has sit-down Mexican food.
Sit in the main part of the station and read a good book.
Buy the 45-day 10-ticket pass for Amtrak to save. if you buy a monthly pass you can ride both Amtrak & Metrolink
Do not stop in the main drop off zone in the front, they will yell and move your butt quick!
The Fly Away shuttle from Union Station to LAX is a great deal and very convenient. Boards at end of Patsaurus Plaza.

No ticket machines at platform. In the main station or out before Red Line area.
The Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises was filmed here today.
