Best place to have breakfast/brunch in East Austin, service is great, food is great and portion size are good enough. Ask for the Belgian waffles and frittata. Get early and expect a long wait.

I'm a big fan of the tartines. My waitress recommended getting the roasted turkey and cranberry chutney and adding avocado and Brie. It was delicious!

This lovely restaurant has been serving up French-inspired fare and tasty salads well before the strip started booming. Their huge, shaded patio out back is one of Austin's best. [Eater 38 Member]

Comfortable atmosphere with excellent French food. I had the meatloaf and tried the scallop special, both delicious. You'll want to eat here.

Fresh homemade frittatas (spinach and shallot pictured) in the outdoor garden seating is a wonderful way to spend a morning. Options change daily.

Great for cheese and wine with girl friends! Also, love the seared tuna nicoise salad. I always order that. Really pretty patio area out back.

Whenever they toast the bread this place will be a five star. The mushroom crepe and the black beans salad are very good. Everything can be easily shared

Try the frittata. It has a vegetable frittata and a sausage one. Both were very good.

Order a tartine and a bellini for a fresh meal, and try to sit out back to enjoy the atmosphere of this French bistro. If you sit inside, there's usually a guitar player inside and a cozy atmosphere.

An early component of the East 11th Street renaissance, this is a restful, reliable spot for French-inspired snacks and light meals. The luscious, open-faced tartines are highly recommended. Read more

Don't ask the waitress if your soft boiled eggs could be medium, that'll leave her staring out the window in despair for half a minute then going "I mean......... We can TRY!"

The prosciutto tar tine....I suggest requesting goat cheese instead of mozzarella. It was amazing especially if you also try a bowl of the tomato, white bean and spinach soup. YUMMY!

This sunny French bistro is known for its patio and its mouthwatering tartines; it doesn't hurt that it's kid-friendly and serves a great breakfast, either. [Eater 38 Member] Read more

What can I say. I feel like the place is mine. The food, the vibe, the location. Everything just feels good, looks good and tastes good. AND I get to hug the owner once is a while. If you haven’t made
