We spent most of our time on Granville Island wandering through the large Public Market, where we discovered Lee’s Donuts, which had the largest cinnamon rolls and fritters any of us had ever seen. Read more

A great date place or a good place to go on a sunny day. Go for a stroll through the markets and get some treats - enjoy them by the water. Afterwards, head over to the Kids Market for some games.

Come early, leave your car behind, and take ferry from the mainland. A must-see when you come down to visit Vancouver. Local artisanal crafts, food, desserts, coffee, bakeries, and fresh produce.

Love the public market, you can get the best food from here! They have everything and it's cool how no big chains are allowed on the island.

Awesome place to go at night! Have a lot of cool stuff like gluten free chocolate brownies. Although I didn’t go during the day and it’s winter so... can’t wait for summer

Amazing market, definitely worth visiting and having a pretty good meal from one of the fascinating food stalls 🥘 🍱 🍲 😋outdoor and indoor seating are available , just be alerted of seagulls 😅

It might seem like Pier 39 from a distance, but there's a lot more local flavor and character on this island. Totally worth visiting and walking from end to end, and parking is free.

If the weather is good, grab something wonderful for lunch and sit outside in the sun, take in the view, relax to the singer/guitarist, and appreciate this beautiful place. Loved Granville Island!

Many shops and places to eat. Lots of traffic and very crowded. Many places to lock up a bike. Too crowded for us to eat there. Nice to see. Maybe go during the week. We went on a Sunday.

A must-visit in Vancouver. Take a ferry (super cheap) and enjoy an afternoon eating your way around the market. The pickles are incredible!

Out the back doors near the ferry docks is a wide open area with border benches. The sun beats down, warm, and shielded from the wind. Another great spot to read The Globe. Find one in the market!

Fresh food from LowerMainland & BC. Get just about any cooked food item to take outside; watch ppl, 2bridges, boats, waters of FalseCreek, & nearby mountains. Be wary of pesky hungry pigeons & gulls

Can purchase both raw (i.e., need to cook, grocery style) and edible (i.e., lunch options) things. Overwhelmed by all the options? Try the Vancouver Foodie Tours Granville Market Food Tour-2 hours $50

Marketplace & restaurants with little gift shops along the alleys. Lots of options if you are hungry - French, Thai, Indian, Japanese, you name it. If you plan on eating outside, beware of the birds.

Good place to eat if you have a strong constitution. Curry was nice but had bones in the chicken. fries from the fish and chip shop were twice fried (re heated) and our bagel from the bakers was stale
