As the name would indicate, we love to come here for amazing oysters (especially when they're only $1 during happy hour). Zach Braff is a part owner here, so never know when he may stop by!
Got the baby grand platter, loved the barcat west coast oysters, not the kusshi & crudo yelowtail is delish! got a free side for checking in, seared asparagus needs flavor.. but i love the mermaid inn
$1 oysters, littleneck clams for happy hour, usually ones with a crisp finish. FYI the happy hour is all night on Mondays. They also have tender steak (get it rare) and my fav lobster roll.
Can't go wrong with anything here, but three must-haves: happy hour oysters ($1!), the yellowfin tunacrudo (flavor bomb), and the lobster & corn fritters (yowza).
Hands down favorite oyster place in the city. Daily $1 happy hour is usually the Barcat which I recommend you pair with the fried calamari, old bayfries, and happy hourwhite wine.
You can't beat their happy hour! It's the perfect place to bring a few friends and enjoy life, before wandering around Washington Square Park. It's impossible to not leave their feeling happier!
One and a half hours of Happy. Their Long Island$1 Oysters are hugely popularly. Also loved the clam chowder. Reasonable portions for the price paid & attentive + polite servers. I am a happy camper!
1st time at this location, I love this company. No kids menu at this location so ordered off the sides. Best oyster happy hour in city. Quality of oysters and food is amazing!
Happy Hour is a fantastic deal. The lobster roll at regular price was not a good deal - skimpy, although tasty (and a TON of delicious fries). Staff are great.
From 5-7pm Tuesday through Thursday, 4-7pm Friday to Saturday and all night Monday, this bar serves thick and spicy $7 Mermaid Marys doused with Old Bay that pair perfectly with $1 Oysters. Read more
Everyone comes here for the Happy Hour. You'll likely have a significant wait if you come anytime after 5:30. But you'll love it here, that's almost guaranteed (by me, anyways!).
One of my favorite places to get oysters. They always have about 12 different types and they mix it up pretty regularly (usually half East cost and half West coast). Dirtycheap during happy hour.
Happy Hour Oysters! Loved the "Washburns", sweet, salty, crisp, light, yet full of flavor, my favorite oyster there. The Charred Octopus was also delicious 🐙👍🏻
Great daily happy hour & Yelp/Foursquare deals, plus lovely touches such as complimentarymultigraincrackers, puddingdesserts, and a flappy "fortune fish." Affordable and nautically charming.
Happy Hour (5-7pm) daily features $1.25 oysters (chef's choice), $1 clams, and other tasty apps. Drinks are not cheap here though, and be prepared to queue.
Eat at the beautiful bar if you can. Lobster roll is gorgeous. Opt for the side of asparagus. Skip the Mermaid Mary and get the Seaside Rendezvous to sip on beforehand.
East Village locals-favorite seafood joint in Greenwich Village TGB Picks: $1 Oysters, $3 fish tacos, $5 beers, $6 wine or $7 cocktailsSeafood, Couples, Warm
Delicious oyster happy hour special. Try a dozen mix of east and west coast for $1-$1.75 each. Cocktail happy hour specials are impeccable. Great service as well.
Check out the photos posted here re: oysters and the ppl who love them -- sure to make you smile. Bonus: caption the rando ones that were clearly not taken here.
Do NOT get the Hot&Dirty cocktail on the happy hour menu. It is basically cheapvodka with splashes if hot sauce. House wine is good though. Oysters are fresh, service is friendly.
The most amazing amazing amazing happy hour specials! The lobster Mac n cheese and the calamari salad are incomparably delicious, and you can't beat $1 oysters!
