- Plaza Premium Lounge airside (down the escalator to your left, and then turn right past duty free). Calm, relaxing, good food and charging points. Today’s breakfast pictured. Open 0500. Loos inside.Upvoted 1 week ago
- LufthansaOctober 7, 2014Majesty Queen Elizabeth II took the opportunity of personally opening the new Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport. Its design, with its open, airy atmosphere, is the work of renowned architect Luis Vidal.Upvoted Feb 10
- Local unlimited mobile data plan. Plenty of £1 SIM cards @ WH Smith as u exit Customs. For unlimited data, I was recommended THREE. For £25, activate all-u-can-eat data add-on (30 days)Upvoted Mar 17
- Flying Star Alliance has gotten even better! At LHR it is the most efficient choice thanks to the move to brand new T2, saving busy travellers as much as 15 minutes compared to T3. Falling in love!
- Get dufry digital card and get at least 5% off in World Duty Free. Extensive perfume selection in store. Remember to insist on liquid purchases being security bagged if you have a transfer en route.
- Reminiscent of T5, a welcome upgrade for all Star Alliance member airlines that shall all depart from here by the end of 2014. Security fast track is on the right of the gates entry point.
- Lots of shops and restaurants...like a mini T5! Make sure you do your VAT refund paperwork before coming to the airport so you can skip the long que before security and do it on the other side 😄🇬🇧
- Mariah IsmailSeptember 12, 2018They have 2 prayers area ...one near gate A22 and another near B35. They have RIMOWA luggage bag too at the CASE😊 The security at the check in area is very professional and friendly at the same time
- Alex MaJanuary 17, 2014It's a modern & airy terminal with awesome runway views. United will have sole use of T2 and T2B from June until the rest of the Star Alliance members (21 others) & Little Red join in September. ✈️🌍
- Claiming VAT refunds. As you face the checkin counters, it's all the way on the extreme left, after counter A19. It's obscure, so ask around if you have to. Expect to spend about 10-15mins queuing up
- Incredibly fast e-border gates and luggage to carousel speed. Well done! (1828 landed, slight delay getting free air bridge .. only 1912 and eating my main at Plaza Premium arrivals after customs).
- A good and modern terminal with a good selection of restaurants and shopping. B Gates are a good 15 minute walk from the central area
- Be prepared for a very long walk to customs from the gate. Let’s just say you’ll get your steps in today.
- Erhan ImamogluFebruary 10, 2020The best airport terminal with a great Canadian airlines lounge. Prefer Canadian over Singapore and united airlines if you want a peaceful and quite lounge but for food go to Singapore lounge.
- Paige HunterApril 19, 2017Perhaps one of the most comfortable airport terminals in the world. Lots of shops and restaurants available before catching a flight.
- Majed AlashariOctober 8, 2019Nice terminal with good variety of cafes, restaurants & services. The prayer room on the south side of the terminal.
- Jim TranterDecember 3, 2018Leave plenty of time to get to the departure gate as it is an outrageous distance from the lounge are. This just adds to the stressful situation sometimes when flying.
- Lina KastritiNovember 14, 2016Food , shops all perfectly placed within the most elegant terminal you ve ever seen!
- 🦉 Abbie Slaman 🦉April 23, 2019Everyone is very kind and helpful. I especially liked the history lesson as I traveled through the terminal.
- Marc SJune 8, 2019Bright, pleasant, spacious terminal since the last refurbishment. Big improvement!
- Xiao YuMarch 10, 2017What's not to love. The ultra fast and non stressful security, the reasonably fast VAT refund, the nice staff that doesn't have TSA's power tripping bloodthirst.
- Daniel ダニエルJuly 17, 2014Really quiet and smells new :) Caffe Nero at arrivals level, at the far left end.
- MariaApril 10, 2019Airport is nice and and clean. VAT refund is a joke, it’s fees on top of fees and if you get back in your local currency it’s another fees. Then fees again if you don’t want to queue up!
- ᴡ PicklesOctober 14, 2018Lovely new terminal very airy and efficient with some great shops and superb lounges.
- UbershopperApril 15, 2017Get to T2 in plenty of time for departure. The check-in area is a mess with no crowd control. You will be walking to your gate for more than half an hour to 45 mins at a fast pace.
- Tom HalleranJuly 17, 2015There is very little near the B gates. Unless you are going to one of the lounges, you're best staying by A with all the shops and restaurants.
- Convenient self checkin kiosks and passport controls. Variety of restaurants and shops including Hamleys and London Pride
- Bag drop even at 0400 is pretty chaotic and busy, though staff friendly. After security is an oasis of calm at 0500. Travelex Currency Desk just after security (order on line 4+ hours for best rates).
- Good value, comfortable, hassle free National Express services to and from many places. Can book online via Quidco, get discount cash back & receive digital ticket on National Express iOS App. Disco
- Ilias ChantzakosMay 17, 2015This new terminal is of course clean and modern, and a huge convenience for Star Alliance travelers.
- Daniel BorgMarch 18, 2018Make sure you follow the signs...and it will be a breeze. The signs are the major guide here. No attendants to guide you.
- Terminal 2 is great. All gates are relatively close with good shopping and restaurants.
- As a Star Alliance Gold Member, I like this terminal. However, in summer rush, it turns into a zoo.
- Leave 20mins to walk from your tube/Heathrow express to the terminal check I'm desks if you skip the elevators. It takes faster to get to Heathrow from Paddington..who designs these God only knows.
- 🄵🄴🄻🄸🅇 dnǝʇsɔɥSeptember 11, 2018Fantastic terminal with nice food and shopping options for all budgets.
- Phillip MastersMay 24, 2023Love getting away. Clean foyer reasonable easy to see where to go very helpful staff
- I like the 24 hour Costa here. Great place for a snooze before your flight.
- Ted WheelockOctober 27, 2014If you need to refund your Oyster Card, you'll find that in terminal 3. The currency is not far from there as well.
- Mark WoottonJune 30, 2019Probably my favourite terminal at Heathrow. Plenty of eating options but some a tad pricey. Long walks to the remote gates, though.
- The Case store has some great new Travel brands - loving the RIMOWA, Tumi and Globetrotter cases
- Don't forget that oversize baggage comes to other carousels. There's a sign on the regular carousel saying where else to look.
- Economy class passengers need to check in, print luggage tag and boarding pass using self check in machine, then proceed to baggage drop. Efficient but lots of people were confused causing long queue
- Rob HavasyJune 11, 2016Nice place to depart but arrivals immigration can vary from a few minutes to two or more hours. Bring a book just in case.
- Irmak Can SevilmisOctober 22, 2018It’s not a complicated airport, everywhere is super clean, nice and modern bye the way before baggage drop, you are printing your own baggage label which means you don’t have to wait front the desks
- Quieter terminal & fewer shops that T5 or T3. Shops & restaurants by A gates. Not much by B gates so be warned.
