No flat breads like the term 5 location which is larger. This place is still the yum though. Great for food on the go. Take some with you on a flight & make everyone jealous. Seriously. Just do it.
Rick Bayless' Mexican cuisine features griddle-baked tortas filled with chipotle chicken, beer-braised beef short ribs and porkchorizo. Also enjoy molletes, soups and salads and a guacamolebar.
The food is probably the best at the airport. Can be busy so make sure you got time before you order.Try the Mexican hibiscus tea, when cold helps relax the tension and brings the body pressure down.
Not sure this is anything like the tortas I've had in the past, but my mushroom (vegetarian) was amazing! As well as the margarita I got at the bar (tho it wasn't available for take-out 😞)
Delicious pepito torta! The bread was a little tougher than I'd like but excellent quality and flavor. Def get the loaded guac and chips! Best airport food ever!
You may have a bit of a wait for a Torta but very worth it. I had the cochinita pibilTorta. 10 minute wait because they are cooking these tortas. Stop in if you have the time. Very good.
Pro tip: skip the line & grab a seat at the bar to order everything: tasty fast quality food, but expensive beer/cocktails. You can’t order liquor from the front counter! lots of vegetarian options.
Takes time but yummy sandwiches. Milenesa torta - great chicken (not dry at all) and green salsa with amazing flavor. Raspberryprickly pearagua fresca was too sweet for me. Good excuse to layover!
The wait might be long, but it will be completely worth it when you bite into those juicy, flavorful tortas. Their egg breakfasttortas are a great way to wake you up before an early flight. 5⭐️'s.
Everything is awesome. Some of best food in airport. The Bloody Maria is a winner + any of the Tortas. Beware the habbie salsa--it's worthy of caution. Very good & very hot.
I had their egg and bacontorta and it was unexpectedly good considering it's airport food. (It's still airport though.) By the window facing gate B11, there are power outlets underneath the counter.
Everything I tried was delicious from the mushroomtorta to the corn chowder to the alfajore. They do have table service which isn't obvious! This place just made it into my faves for airport food!
The best food at Ohare, hands down! Near gate B11, if you have the time (usually a ten min wait for Torta), worth the walk over from C or E/F concourse!
Best place to kill some time between (delayed) flights. Service is great, food and drinks are even better. Order the guac with pepitas then get the pepito tortas. Sooooo good! Plus you can charge up!
Always love this place but they took a favorite--the caramelized plantain--off the menu. Actually it's still on the menu board but they stopped serving it. Either add it back in or quit tantalizing!
Delicious food, soup and salads. Just plan on taking some time they are slow! Oh and don’t expect the employees to be nice or ask for anything “special”, that’s grounds for dismissal! NO SOUP FOR YOU!
Make sure you fly out of Terminal 3 at O'Hare when leaving Chicago so you can eat here. Chipotle chicken torta is awesome - like so awesome that you would eat this even if you weren't at the airport.
Holy wow. This is great. Fresh, tasty. They understand how airports work...so you can wait at the bar for your food and can take your food onboard! Great taste. I got the Pepito.
These tortas are good...so good you will often push the limit of making your flight. You don't truly love these tortas unless you've done the Torta run!
This place is amazing. Completely obsessed with their perfect margaritas, friendly staff, and delicious food. Don't go anywhere else while you're in Terminal 1. Solid A :)
Chorizotorta must be eaten immediately! The bread has this beautiful subtle crunch. The sandwich is good cold as well but u r missing the point...near B10
The egg and chorizo was incredible. Add the tomatillo salsa. Your stomach on your next flight might be slightly difficult because of the spice, but worth it!
Real food takes time and fresh ingredients. This is real food, despite the airport location. Not for those in a rush or on a tight budget, but delicious, interesting, rewarding.
Definitely some of the best food you can get in any airport planetwide. A totally legit cochinita pibil, and great salsa. It takes 10mins to get a torta.
Man, I can't recommend this place enough! If I'm about to miss my flight I still make a point of stop by(FTW)! Try the Pepito or Cochinita PibilTorta or the fully loaded Guac! Have an agua fresca!
Best airport food ever. I know, that's not saying a lot. But Rick Bayless does it right. Try the molletas, guacamolebar, and pepito and choriquesa tortas. Just like Xoco!
The tortacubana and fully dressedguac transcend their place - the food's so good, I forget I'm in an airport. Definitely stop and sit a spell. Also...the Marisol on tap is not to be missed.
If you're looking for some good food, this is the place. But it does take about 10 minutes as the food is made fresh. Highly recommend the grilled shrimp
Enjoyed the choriqueso and a classic limeagua fresca. Unlike most airport food, it didn't make me feel gross afterwards! And the multiple plugins near at the wall seating were really convenient.
Rick Bayless, the master of Mexican food, brings airport food to a new level w/ this place. Everything is delicious, fresh and authentic. Try the Yucatan pulled pork sandwich w/ tomatillo salsa
Don't stand looking at the menu deciding if you're going to get something. Just get in line. It backs up quickly and you'll have time to figure out what you want by the time you get to the front.
Awesome fresh tortas (Mexican sandwiches), great margaritas, cold beer, and tons of power outlets. Rick Bayless listened to travelers and didn't sell-out with this joint! Love it!
