Love the meat and even order it rare, but can y'all put a simple fuckin normal cheeseburger with lettuce-tomato-onion on the menu? Tired of the tryhard fancy BS, the burger can stand on its own
Tried the truffle burger and the Sunny side burger. Both were juicy and delicious. The Parmesan and the arugula made the sunny side burger exceptionally delicious. The truffle fries were a bit salty.
Tried the sunny side burger and the umami burger; the sunny side won it for me. Onion rings and brussel sprouts sides are great. I like the ambience, although service was a little slow.
We couldn't be happier that one of our favorite West Coast burger chains is finally here in New York! Get the truffle burger or the five spice duck burger with a side of the cheesy tater tots.
The truffle burger exceeds the considerable hype. Shake shack and burger joint step aside. Great fries and beers on tap, too. And all reasonably priced ($12 burgers) for the wvillage.
The Umami original is a good burger. A great bun and fun toppings. No sauces required (which is good because they don't have Heinz). . Also do your table a favor and GET THE ONION RINGS
First timer. It's worth the hype. Try the truffle burger and fries. The thin fries are so good and crispy! Sweet potatoes is so so, too much cinnamon and sugar for my liking. Worth a try.
Order "The Original" med. rare. The smash technique produces a crispy exterior and juicy inside. The parmesan crisp, shiitake mushroom, roasted tomato, & caramelized onions make every bite umami!
I ordered the Truffle Burger and it was delicious! My friend order the Manly Burger and a couple of fries. It was all delicious. Not a fan of their Japanese wings though.
The Manly Burger is a beast on its own, with its full flavor, bacon lardons, you can't go wrong with this burger, order it medium rare for the full Umami experience

The sunny side burger really brightened my day. The maple bacon old fashioned was different but surprisingly pretty good. Definitely try if you are looking for something unique.
Everything they say about it being the same as ur 1st Shack experience is true. Prices are diff but so is the experience. The staff is on point & def takes care of its customers. Worth $40. Worth it.

Abundantly juicy, beautifully crusted, and super-meaty. The recent limited-edition run of the José Andrés pork burger with ham, Manchego, and piquillo-pepper confit pretty much knocked our socks off.
There are millions of burgers in the world. Most wallow in the pit of mediocrity, and from a distance admire the paragon that is Umami Burger. They are perched loftily on the mount of greatness. DOPE.
Get the Truffle Burger. I absolutely love this combination of roasted garlic aioli, melty house truffle cheese, and truffle glaze on a quality burger. Read more
The TRUFFLE and the SUNNY SIDE are my favorites. The truffle fries are good, but I always ask for the truffle cheese on the side because it gets dry as soon as it reaches the table.
Behold The Manly Burger- cheddar, bacon lardons, onion strings. I wish it came with a stack of postcards to send to all my friends and be like "Get on a plane and come get this burger now! Love, Alex"
Manly burger is amazing! The staff has also been really friendly each of the 4 times I've been here. Every now and then they'll have a special burger which is also always good!
Amazing! Definitely try the Truffle Burger with a side of Truffle Fries. Also don't forget to ask your waiter about the three different types of sauces!
This is honestly one of the best Ahi Tuna Burgers I have ever had! Get the truffle Fries and the sweet potato fries to go with it.. speciality cocktails are on point.
Incredible burgers--juicy and delicious. I tried the Hatch and the truffle burger, and the truffle burger won that match. The sides are ok, as are the sauces...but the burgers are simply outstanding.
Caesar salad was surprisingly good. Cheesy tots (which are off the menu) should be shared. Sweet potato fries are non-greasy, yet crisp. Ask for the dipping sauces (you only get them on request).
Try the sunny side up burger - truly delicious. The Unami burger was good, but not even close to as good as the sunny side. Highly recommend the onion rings!
Amazing burger. The meat just melted in my mouth and the bun was like a pillow. But, the Bloody Mary drink is not your traditional Bloody Mary. Be forewarned unless you love garlic!
It is not your every day burger, juicy and rich and made to meet your preference. Truffle is unique on their menu, truffle burgers, truffle fries, truffle sides.
Truffle burger is amazing, as is the duck. Cheesy tots were bland and disappointing for $5, like they forgot to season. Wait staff was super nice though! Much thanks for the free beer
Truffle Fries are too heavy and cheesy, but sweet potato fries are yummy with its sweet salt; New k-BBQ burger tastes great with the right amount of heat !
Stick.To.The.Original! Truffle burger is a bit too greasy and muted and the Manly is slightly overpowered by the bacon. The Original is truly a transformative burger experience: Umamish!
The original umami burger is indeed original, but not quite as satisfying as the more conventional manly burger. I like it that the burgers are of reasonable size, not huge.
In a move surprising even to myself, I would actually suggest NOT getting the truffle fries. They are delicious but overpower the unique and different flavored of the burgers.
Get the truffle fries with more than 2 people and it comes in a bowl of fries in a vat of truffle cheese sauce instead of a small plate with a small drizzle
