    What a gem. If you're dining solo, walk right in and sit at the bar. Otherwise make reservations. Get the steak tartare & grilled rabbit. If you have more room, add the mushroom toast. Bliss.

    Hen of the Wood brings VT craftsmanship and world class ingredients together with a touch of elegance. The atmosphere is fancy yet rustic. What a cool place for a special dinner or a regular beer!

    Beautiful dark hunting cabin like space w/ open kitchen. Nice presentation but the dim light makes it hard to appreciate. Fresh high quality produce, simple flavors. Hanger steak and mushroom toast!

    Worth a trip from anywhere. Trout toast and steak tartar are stand outs for starters. The rabbit and flank steak are incredible. Great cheese selection. Impressive list of wine and beer.

    Best meal in Burlington that I shared with my GF and good friends. Everything was tasty but the rabbit w/ savory kale side and the mushroom toast were winners for me.

    Absolutely wonderful dining experience. Both the meal and the service were exceptional. For dessert, the cheese selection and the Brachetto d'Acqui are a perfect finish.

    Amazing food. Only complaint is that it took over half an hour between appetizers and our meal. But it was busy so they get a pass. Lol.

    Don't eat the raw oysters or the Hen of the Woods mushrooms. Not sure which one was bad but both my husband & I got ill on our anniversary.
