- One of my favorite places to eat in the city. Highly recommend their beef tongue bao, squid and tripe salad, HOMEMADE SPAM, and short rib/bone marrow. Expect to spend around $60/person.
- Sophia LiuFebruary 18, 2016Absolutely delish all around. As a lover of SPAM, the homemade spam was amazing especially the fried rice. Highlight of my SF visit and will make an effort to dine here every time. Get the pork belly!
- One of my favorite restaurants in SF. Airy and open, vibe great for a date or group of friends. Tuna poke on crispy seaweed and beef tongue poppy seed buns were outstanding. Impressive draft beers.
- Winson WongOctober 31, 2015One of my favorite places in SF. Always solid. Definitely Asian fusion with a good mix of salty, sweet and sour flavors. Uni fried rice, fried game hen and baked Hawaiian are highlights. Good Service.
- Ashley YukiAugust 5, 2017The duck liver toast paired with the Riesling here is bomb!! Eric the bartender is the best, knows his stuff! Hard to get a res, but the bar is 1st come 1st serve so you can definitely walk in!
- Ms HeleneJune 6, 2015Tuna poke on battered fries seaweed chip, octopus with green olives, yogurt coriander sauce, raisins and crispy potatoes, Manila clams in light curry and Bombe Hawaiian.
- Danielle DavisApril 9, 2016We walked in and sat at the bar which served the full menu of delicious food. Tuna Poke and the Octopus won the night. The Coop (mezcal) and the Clifton Special (genever) cocktails were superb 👌🏻
- Sophyan JulioMay 5, 2015Entrees are good for two. Try the cornish game hen. Tastes like upgraded Korean fried chicken- crispy, savory and a hint of sweetness. Favorite new restaurant in 2015!
- Mike NadelmanDecember 6, 2016Great change of pace compared to what you would expect. There are 3 categories of food. Small plates, medium plates, and full entrees.Indulge in a great desert like Apple Pie with Curry.for desert.
- Doug de WetJuly 22, 2016Vibrant, exciting, and unique! Duck liver toast, poke, steam buns, house-made spam are stellar, but the Cornish game hen is a world beater, and it's a generous portion, so plan accordingly.
- BommyFebruary 16, 2018Duck liver toast is amazing and the whole roasted cauliflower is perfect for vegetarians. Spam fried rice is also delicious. 3-4 dishes is more than enough for two people.
- Nico PitneyJanuary 26, 2015"New home of Ravi Kapur's frmr pop-up, with back-up from the Nopa/Nopalito team. Food inspired by Kapur's Hawaiian heritage, with shades of Chinese and Indian influences and plenty of NorCal produce." Read more
- Jason LorNovember 21, 2016Skip the tuna poke, it's underwhelming. Instead order the roasted octopus. The texture and flavor of the octopus accompanied by crispy potatoes and fruit notes are incredible. Get it all in one bite!
- Jonathan EatherlyFebruary 7, 2015The roasted octopus with curried raisins was the star, followed closely by the duck liver toast and fried oyster butter lettuce cups. Awesome vibe, engaging service, and great execution.
- Daniel MejiaJuly 25, 2017Tuna belly misoyaki, beef tongue on the poppy seed steam bun, tuna poke on the nori cracker and dark chocolate cream puff were all amazing!! Great service as well
- Ms HeleneJune 3, 2018Tuna poké, clams with fresh naan and octopus with crispy potatoes, olives and raisins good for 2.
- Stephanie WindsorJuly 1, 2016The spam was delish, and I don't like spam. They welcomed us even with a stroller. We ended up eating at the standing bar so we didn't have to wait 3 hours for a table. It was totally worth it!!!
- The Taste SheriffFebruary 3, 2019Great food, I have to admit. The tuna poke was great, the sashimi with kiwi outstanding, and so were the fried oysters. The grilled short-rib was ok but not amazing. Expect to pay ~80 per person.
- Sherry LiJuly 26, 2015This place is awesome. If you can, do the Ohana table with $55pp tasting menu. The pate, poke, beef tongue buns, calamari salad, and clams are really good.
- Billy VJune 2, 2015Go with a group of 4 or 6 so you can try all the small plates. Portion sizes for entrees are BIG. We loved the duck liver pate and the poke.
- Shirley TsangJanuary 27, 2019Must get: Beef tongue steamed buns, fried rice (with house made spam), tuna tartare on nori crackers , and of course, baked Hawaii !
- Victor SanchezJune 8, 2019Nice space but heavily over hyped and over priced. This restaurant should be renamed to: “pineapple with things”. Get the kimchi rice or you will go hungry. Do NOT get the duck toast.
- Arthur LiaoJanuary 30, 2016Beef tongue, fried oysters, tuna tartare, fried rice, beef ribs, game hen - basically everything. Savories are better than desserts. IMHO one of the best and funnest bay area restaurants in years.
- Tara MedeirosSeptember 19, 2016Great atmosphere (think upscale tiki) with solid food + cocktails. Tuna poke + fried oyster beef carpaccio were small plate favorites. Also if there's a Spam special - don't hesitate, just get it!
- Really refreshing flavour pairings! Try their duck liver toast, lamb ribs and tuna belly misoyaki 😘
- Flora ChengJuly 12, 2017Tuna poke was served on nori crackers so the experience was like eating tacos - deff recommend! Manila clams were also great, though a bit too savory.
- CITY GRITMay 27, 2015Start with the Oysters! Do not miss the Octopus! We LOVED the Clams and the Cornish Hen! Finish with the Baked Hawaii!
- Erich WiernaszSeptember 8, 2017The beef tongue buns are awesome, but the star of the show was the clams in Thai broth with soft, buttery naan with slight char.
- Judy MJanuary 9, 2019Can’t get a resi? No room at the bar either? Try squeezing in at the standing bar. There are hooks below the bar surface for your stuff. It is a tight space but you can still order full menu!
- H HDecember 14, 2015Everything was beyond incredible. We had what they're known for but my personal favorites were the fried shrimp (we ordered two) and the chicken (it's delicious!!!).
- Elizabeth BursteinMarch 31, 2017Fried rice and tuna appetizer were amazing! Not as big fan of beef ribs nor pork ribs nor bitter end cocktail. Would be curious to try more on menu
- Michael AldereteSeptember 6, 2017Yeah, that Baked Alaska looks beautiful in photos. And it's pretty good. But the chocolate cream puff KICKS. ITS. ASS. Spectacular.
- Adena BrenowitzJune 8, 2018A lot of meat options so if you are a vegetarian or pescetarian it might be a bit difficult to eat here. But the food is amazing! Everything is delicious.
- Nives VincicMay 17, 2018Best food so far in San Fran! Delicious tuna poke and bao.. i think whatever you order - will be amazing...👍🏼
- Andy WangJuly 10, 2019Great food and vibe. Sat at the bar due to lack of reservation. Definitely worth a visit
- Bobby ChanDecember 12, 2019The beef ribs, yellowtail sashimi, and black sesame chocolate cake were all really amazing
- Thomas L.April 5, 2019Very innovative cuisine and I have yet to go wrong on any dish. They do have standing room counters too in case you have a craving but there aren’t any seats.
- Game hen is the best value! Baked Hawaii is a must order too!
- Paige CJune 7, 2019Cute restaurant and fun cocktail bar downstairs. Good cocktails and little bites.
- Karen MiaoMay 22, 2016It lives up to the hype! The off menu but always available house made spam musubi was something I would eat again and again...
- Vivian RamirezJanuary 21, 2020The food is a fusion of festive flavors while the service is friendly yet professional. Fried oysters are decadent.
- SaliemNovember 3, 2019Scallops & pork belly, pandan cream honey cake with candied corn, coconut rice pudding with cream sesame crumble 🥂
- Jennifer OrrMay 7, 2016Everything was amazing but the beef tongue bun and the Hawaiian Alaska for dessert were my favorites!
- Jessa OrmeOctober 5, 2015Haven't had a bad Meal. The poke, sticky buns, and the salmon (off menu but amazing if they have it) are my favs.
- Andrea OtazúSeptember 22, 2015Tuna Belly delicious! Will definitely give them 6 stars! They deserve it. The food is amazing and the service spectacular.
- Jonathan EspirituFebruary 3, 2017If you don't have a reservation, the bar stools are first-come, first served and serve the full menu
