street parking is available after 5:30 p.m., until 8:30 a.m. If you pick your spot carefully. mine was three blocks south. save $20!

Negotiate your price. We saved 30$ a night just by mentioning Hotels.com (which was only 20$ cheaper than the first price quoted at the front desk).

Some rooms are a lot smaller than others. If you get one with barely any room around the king bed ask to see if they can move you to a bigger one.

Ask for a room above the 2nd floor. While being downtown is fun... It's also really loud. 1st floor rooms get a lot of street noise.

Nice hotel but can be noisy. I always bring ear plugs and ask for a room facing the courtyard.
