gerard t. • July 7, 2010This rest hut at the junction of Quarry Rd (towards the TAS VHF Station) and Main Rd (the main sealed road to the summit) is a good place to take a rest before the final climb to the Summit.
gerard t. • July 7, 2010Take a rest and catch your breath at this rest hunt at the top of the steep slope from the Visitors' Centre before pushing ahead for the summit.
gerard t. • March 10, 2018From here, there’s two ways up to the Summit. The shorter route (900m) is undulating; the longer route (1km) is undulating AND meandering but is more interesting.
Cheen T. • May 19, 2019Came across this fluffy white insect near the hut. Not an expert but Internet search suggests it is a mealybug, considered a common crop pest/parasite
Cheen T. • May 19, 2019Apparently over 280 steps from base of hill to this hut. A serious cardio workout! Attempt the Dairy Farm Loop in a clockwise direction if you wish to walk down these steps (instead of clawing up)
