Ian C. • June 18, 2023Excellent late-night kushiyaki-focused izakaya. If you’re ever craving for yakitori, skewers come out really fast!
Lily • December 20, 2018NYT Hungry City (4/2018): "Takana (pickled mustard greens); kombu; umeboshi; salmon; shrimp tempura; fried oyster; chashu pork; mentaiko (pollock roe); the Bomb; karaage."
Kip R. • March 4, 2020Omakase is very good and reasonably priced. Soft shell crab tempura is excellent too!
Buseto • February 1, 2015They have so many goodies, and their products are well-labeled and good quality. There's also a selection of meat, fresh fish and sashimi, and to-go lunch boxes. Best way to act like a Japanese.
Jenny L. • April 10, 2017Hidden gem in midtown east. It's a Japanese eatery / piano bar / karaoke. They are so generous with the amount of sashimi they put into a bowl. $22 is so worth it for Uni don. Kirin draft is only $4.
Theresa R. • November 24, 2018All the cream puffs were on point. I stuck to classic strawberry, chocolate, and original with vanilla.
Nikhita M. • May 1, 2016Authentic and yummy! I like the pumpkin tempura and the spicy tuna combo roll.
ZenFoodster • May 26, 2013Grand opening special: 11pm-2am $1 draft beers & sake, $5-6 food specials (eg tonite's: tongue, scallion, chuck rib, fresh tender beef sushi)
Ailie C. • January 20, 2016Sushi Omakase selection was fresh and delicious. Miso Soup, Agedashi Tofu, Tatsuta-Age, Lobster Roll, and Tempura were good. The green tea cheesecake was laughable - it's the size of your finger.
Gene C. • March 21, 2018Hidden sushi bar tucked in the basement of Mifune serves an excellent 15-18 pieces omakase
Berta C. • March 9, 2016Healthy and yummy sushi rolls. Recommend the mighty mushroom roll
