Gabriel M. • October 1, 2013A very nice, organized and comfy hostel. The area is not as busy as north of the river, so if you plan on exploring during the day and relaxing at night, this is the place for you!
Aakanksha K. • May 8, 2010The Steam Engine is a unique Boutique Hostel in the heart of bustling SE1 and in walking distance from Waterloo Station and the London Eye.
Jesus S. • September 25, 2013Great hostel, good and clean rooms, includes a lively pub, fantastic location!!
Luis A. • May 28, 2013This is the second time I come to this hostal and I believe it is on a great location. Its not near the london eye but it is on a very calm area. Lambeth Station is 3-5 mins from the hostel.
hostelcritic.com • January 10, 2012This small 55-bed hostel hostel is above a traditional English pub and it offers a quieter alternative to the bigger St Christopher's Village up the road.
Dominic P. • August 9, 2013As of August 9th, 2013, Horse Bar has re-launched as The Horse and Stables - it has a hostel upstairs and is offering British and American cuisine.
Justin M. • March 31, 2013Not a bad place for the price you pay. Room sharing is something new to me, but I was fortunate to share with decent people. Great place to meet new people. Free wifi in the communal area.
Katie P. • August 20, 2013Have Cask beers, ciders and regular beers on tap, comfy couches, good music, and free wifi. Can't go wrong especially if you're staying in the hostel upstairs.
Cristal R. • September 30, 2016Cheap hostel (I paid an average of £17 per night in high season) and great location (10 min walk to London Bridge). The pub is also great and has reasonable prices for food and drinks.
