Danielle D. • July 13, 2018DC's newest venue. Great spot to catch a show. The Wharf is perfect for exploring afterwards. Tons of spots to grab dinner or an after concert drink.
Nat E. • August 23, 2015It's the most popular museum in DC, second most popular in the world (after the Louvre). Definitely go on off hours.
Steven A. • February 8, 2015Another great art museum not often frequented by tourists. A small but intriguing collection of African art and a nice gift shop as well.
Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum • April 9, 2013We often have safe solar telescopes setup outside to view sunspots and other features on the Sun. Check our calendar for evening stargazing events.
Ghostly International • July 15, 2011In my opinion, best museum in DC. They have an excellent collection of both well known and unheard of contemporary artists and the architecture of the building really adds to the overall experience.
Chris R. • December 30, 2014Free entry, worth visiting for the Peacock room and the brilliant garden. Wonderful collection of Asian and Islamic art.
Cole T. • December 13, 2020What a surprising experience! Little did I know about the history of espionage but the museum covered from antiquity to the modern era. Can easily spend 2-4 hours here.
Cori G. • November 11, 2017Out of this world interactive art installation. Will forever change the art scene in DC! Brilliant!
Oscar Z. • February 24, 2016The memorial is very emotional and at the end of the visit they have current atrocities
Marc Kevin H. • June 4, 2012The staff is exceptionally friendly. Two points of interest: the tomb of the Institution's founder, and a gallery with sample exhibits.
Paulo F. • August 31, 2017Great museum, amazing place and all free!!! Congratulations to the team that keep such an amazing structure working and attending thousands of visitors from all over the world!
Dion B. • December 23, 2017Huge, with 6 floors to see. There is something for everyone, religious or not. Plan to spend 2-6 hours depending on your interest level.
Stephen H. • May 2, 2013Every third Thursday they open the shutter to get natural light.....come earlier in the day for a brighter exposure due to the position of the windows on the building.
FamilyFun • March 15, 2012DC is packed with amazing things to do with kids. One of our favorite places was this museum. -Brand Development Director
Going Out Guide from PostLocal • March 16, 2011#CherryBlossoms: International and local performers appear on the main stage daily from March 26 - April 10
Catherine • July 15, 2011Many of the classes offered through the Smithsonian are in classrooms here. Enter through the kiosk next to the Castle, this museum is underground, and for the most part peaceful and quiet.
loran j. • April 1, 2015Saw Hidden Space here and it is a good theater. Nice, comfortable seats and a giant screen.
Harisha B. • September 8, 2018Great music venue. Intimate. Food. Drink. Great service. What more could you ask for?
Sofía S. • August 24, 2013I like to go when it's rainy to avoid being bumped into along the garden path.
