Stina P. • March 2, 2014each book is a secret trophy on a shelf of perfection. get lost for hours in a bushwick lending/reading room. a monthly membership or donating 10 books lets you check out a book for 30 days
New York R. • November 9, 2010Not the best library in NY..
Ali F. • March 27, 2017Friendly librarians, great neighborhood resource. Can request book holds thru BPL for pickup; free wifi alternative to the neighborhood coffee shop scene; big kiddie section = lots of stroller parking
Justin • March 9, 2019Contrary to the tip provided here, this library is open 10 til 5pm on Saturdays
Nate S. • March 25, 2023Beautiful remodel as of 2023! Books, DVDs, tax/gov’t forms, and large co-working space. Just remember that this is a library, so no Zoom calls! 🤫

Jamel M. • July 2, 2011The best library in the entire city. it has three floors and the collection are simply phenomenal. Overal, the interiors remind you of a museum.
陳雄暉 弟. • October 5, 2019Great place for booking up, or booking around. Just hope people don't book things up as it so happens at other libraries. 🤓💻📚📖
🍚 • March 1, 2015Beautiful library. Could spend hours exploring the building itself. Definitely worth going to as. New Yorker too. Not just a tourist attraction
Jessica • January 28, 2015Pretty, newly renovated library with lovely, large seating section and great kids' area.
alicetiara • May 21, 2015I really like this beautiful branch library, but it is the only NYPL location I've ever been to that doesn't have a bathroom for patrons.

Cindy • April 3, 2011Great library with free wifi on the second floor. Small selection of books, but the friendly librarians will help you recall books from other branches.

John P. • September 20, 2014One of the best libraries in the system for quiet study. Lots of work carrels with power outlets for phones and computers.
Shawn F. • July 8, 2011The best dining options in the area are about 10 blocks away toward Sunnyside.
Michelle C. • February 11, 2017There's a sign that says there is no wifi for the foreseeable future. It's a small library with unisex public bathrooms. The area upstairs has some cosy chairs.

Karen • January 28, 2018Every since they re-designed the building, there is a diminished supply of books. People don't go to the library because it's pretty, they go because they want a simple place to sit and read.
Caroline F. • June 28, 2012Great people, great programs, great services
Taylor R. • April 17, 2014Very bright, clean, and pleasant! I am visiting from Manhattan though and the wifi here doesn't work if you are a member at the NYPL. You need a Queens Library card to connect. Annoying!
