Brad H. • November 19, 2015Beautiful beach, & park. Very crowded making it a great place for people watching. A number of places within walking distance for food, beer, and cocktails.
William H. • October 28, 2010get the off-menu non-alcoholic drink: Henry's Special. A local favorite
Neha D. • November 13, 2016Good beach... fantastic views... amazing sunsets! Dog friendly later at night! Parking is tough to find...
Piatti Ristorante & Bar • October 5, 2014Bundle up with some blankets and a thermos of tea of the ideal winter sunset. You won't be sorry. -Piatti La Jolla
K12 Inc • August 12, 2011Did you know? On any given day, between 50 and 200 harbor seals congregate on the beach. During pupping season (beginning in January) 10 to 20 seal pups are born at Children’s Pool.
Adveturer • July 29, 2013Love the beach, bring water and tennis shoes for the climb. By the cliff side is very calm and quiet, perfect to relax and lie down naked and enjoy the sun. Water is too cold, even in summer days.
Courtney M. • August 24, 2011Best beach in SD, hands down. Easy parking (even on weekends), even mix of tourists + locals and super clean water.
Gilbert L. • April 14, 2011You can smell the scent of the ocean in the air. Actually it is the smell of all the seaweeds washed up the beach.
Verna • October 1, 2013Incredible location right on the beach and really nice staff. It's definitely a "family friendly" hotel so it gets quiet early but loud early as well. Not good for those with an affinity for cocktails
Tyler • September 23, 2014Free outdoor yoga! And amazing views of Tourmaline Beach surfers & Crystal Pier.
Chuck B. • April 24, 2018San Diego has the best beaches!!! I highly recommend PB for it’s laid back young vibe. They also have some really cool surf shops and restaurants on the boardwalk too.
Melissa M. • June 29, 2015Great staff, beautiful views, sexy bathrooms, and a daily wine happy hour. All within a 5 minute walk from the beach? Yes please!
Zarita d. • May 7, 2016My favorite all time weekend breakfast hangout, watch surfers, steps go down to beach, or explore the trails, al fresco seating, power breakfast is favorite, go for the house coffee while you wait.
Hudson Sutler • July 20, 2017Located in the Shores section of La Jolla, this spot is all-outdoors and only a few blocks from the beach.
Tim H. • July 13, 2011Renting a house here? Park overnight on El Carmel Point instead of trying to negotiate tiny garages/spots that houses provide. Plenty of food in walking distance
Darkest Hour A. • July 31, 2020Love this beach. Lots of stuff to do and great restaurants too. If you have kids there are plenty activities to keep them busy. If you’re an adult and want bars and games they have that too.
Brian F. • September 15, 2011if you're like me and love room service, order the steamed mussels (and ask for extra bread the sauce is literally amazing), kobe burger, truffle fries. Or just go to the restaurant.
Cool • December 14, 2018The South Mission jetty is the best Surf in San Diego County, lefts that work on any tide, with offshore or south winds. Surf will be better and bigger here than other spots in town. Njoy the surf!
Allison E. • September 10, 2014Delicious menu. Variety of tasty options. There's even almond milk, gluten free bread, and fresh coffee. Sit outside and enjoy the sunshine then walk for a few minutes and you're at the beach!
Julian E. • September 18, 2019Stayed for one night in room 601. The room had a strong smell of bleach.
Mina L. • August 15, 2010Family friendly place with great customer service! Best place to rent kayaks at the shores!
