The White House • January 22, 2012President Obama, the First Lady, and Malia Obama helped clean, paint, and organize the school’s library as part of a national day of service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Paul G. • January 19, 2013This city wide school opened several years ago, has 220 students, and just announced its 8th grade. We met a few of its dedicated staff and neighborhood volunteers today. Great folks!
DC Preservation League • August 5, 2011Rutherford B. Hayes School is one of the city's first public school buildings to be designed under the system of private architects. It was designed by Charles E. Burden.
