Toria L. • August 27, 2014Awesome zoo! Free & relatively empty today (though the kids are back to school and it's a Tuesday). Don't forget the farm & nearby Conservatory (free as well)!
Jonathan F. • May 28, 2015Pretty small compared to the main zoo across the bridge, but it's perfect if you have small kids. You get all the sights, sounds, and smells of a farm.
Sailor • August 4, 2019I loved this zoo and the fact that it's free but they should consider capping the animals to just the ones they have now, since the animals shouldn't be in such small areas
Twelve O. • June 27, 2011Check out 12 on the Lake: The Pierside Grill, located in Washington Park north of the marina. http://4sq.com/lX6BcN
FJ B. • September 29, 2013I've always liked the lion exhibit. Last time I visited was for the Great Lakes Brew Fest - the zoo is an excellent venue.
Matthew T. • February 25, 2018Best zoo in the state. Membership is the way to go if you live anywhere close.

Anamaria H. • August 14, 2014There are no elephants here. There have not been elephants at this zoo for four years.
Achixanthem • April 14, 2013This bus route is the broke man's city tour! It hits the zoo, Willis Tower and Michigan Ave!
Alex C. • August 13, 2015Beautiful, up close, & fragrant! Great to relax & for photographers. Good for children who are not afraid of & are gentle with insects. Stay as long as you like, just stay on the path. Worth it!
