Civic Center/UN Plaza BART Station

Breathe through your mouth when you're here because it stinks like pee everywhere

Watch where you walk. There is often human feces on the sidewalks above the station.

Really scuzzy stairs up to the plaza. Should probably get a tetanus shot afterwards

If you're going to Coliseum/OAKland Airport, take a Dublin/Pleasanton or Fremont train to go directly there. Transferring is too easy to get wrong. Hint: CDF.

Be prepared for lots of bums in this area when exiting the station.

They’ve closed down half the exits to cut back on the amount of space junkies have to shoot up. There are still dealers who hang out at the top of the stairs on the SW corner of Market/8th.

Beware it is stand right and walk left on the escalators when using them to get to and from the bloody platform! Courtesy people!

Welcome to BART

Beware of the homeless that beg above ground from the station and in the station hallways!

Go to either end of the platform for a better chance at a seat during rush hour.

Ride backwards to here and get one of the last seats for the long journey east.

Take bart or muni to anywhere in the world! Or the 16th St station.

It's good to get inside the paid area as quickly as possible for some measure of additional safety.

Always interesting. Musicians. The Eau de Civic Center is memorable.

If you want to go to a place that is close to Civic Center or UN Plaza ... you wan't to step of Bart / Muni here. You're welcome!

The MUNI trains here are always so packed! Take BART: it's faster and in S.F., goes to most of the same stops.

I swear the escalator going up to UN Plaza is broken every other week

One of the worst stations. All the entrances are crowded with homeless people, stinks like pee.

Keep your cell phone in your pocket. Someone will take it from your hand and run away.

San Francisco Main Library is close by. Borrow a book to read while waiting for the train.

The purple violin magician's dog is called Ginger. Early in the morning she chases her ball around and slides on the slippery floor.

A large gourmet grocery, Harvest Urban Market, is just a few short blocks from the station on 8th street

It’s about $9.50 to take the train from here to the airport.

if you're getting off an SFO/Millbrae train, take the stairs closest to the front car and laugh as you beat the escalator commuters to the turnstile!

Transfer here to Muni Metro (Middle Level) and Golden Gate Transit (7th & Market Streets).

Smells like pee, bunch of crackheads near the entrances and at the station. One of the worst stations in SF. True SF spirit.

Don't take the elevator unless you really have to. It's a slow 1 minute decent and the car reeks of pee

Don't use your iPhone while u waiting for the train there someone out there will Snatch your phone going to you end up 💦💦💦

If escalators are not working, remember there are elevators! I feel bad seeing elderly people go up those flights of stairs, and it's too late to let then know.

Watch out for the crackheads that roam this plaza

Please, when on thw escalator stand to your right. Some of us aren't morning people and are trying to catch our trains!

Lots of people collapsed on the floor, shooting up, etc.

Don't stand in front of the train doors. Stand to the side so that passengers exiting don't have to push you out of the way.
