Botox Cosmetic

Botox cosmetic is fda approved for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, and is extremely effective at easing the over-contracted muscles that cause surface skin to look old or stressed. Placed strategically by a skilled dermatologist botox can also gently lift the lower third of the face, the usual target of the surgical facelift. A botox treatment typically consists of several small injections. It works by temporarily weakening the treated muscles so that the skin relaxes and facial wrinkles and lines become less noticeable. Results can be seen in 4-10 days and can last 4 to 6 months

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is an office procedure for treatment of varicose veins and ‘spider’ or ‘starburst’ veins. During sclerotherapy treatment, the dermatologist injects a solution of sodium chloride directly into the targeted vein with a fine needle. This solution irritates the lining of the vessel, and eventually causes it to collapse and disappear. Spider veins are small, thin veins close to the surface of the skin and usually take on one of three basic patterns: a spider shape, branch-like shapes or clusters in thin, separate lines. Varicose veins are larger, darker in color and tend to bulge. Weight gain, some medications and prolonged sitting or standing are some causes of unsightly veins, as are pregnancy or hormonal changes. Facial Fillers

Facial fillers are used to maintain volume in the face, and thus restore (or prolong) a youthful, rested, healthy appearance. Sometimes referred to as ‘collagen replacement’ or ‘soft tissue enhancement,’ or ‘restylane’ (a brand name) , facial filler injections take only minutes to perform and the cosmetic results are immediate. The dermatologist injects the selected facial filler at sites where natural fat has depleted, the most common being the folds next to the nose (nasolabial folds) , the lines running from the mouth toward the chin (marionette lines) , sunken cheeks and thinning lips. However, most facial fillers are still temporary, and depending on the staying power of the product (as well as the reaction of the patient) touch-ups will eventually be required.

Until now, however, methods for removing tattoo ink from the skin including dermabrasion, saltabrasion, co2 lasersdidn't work, left scars, and were less than a pleasant experience for the patient.

Laser technology is an ever-expanding scientific field that has advanced greatly in the last decade, with extremely significant impact on dermatology. The applications for skin renewal and rejuvenation by lasers that require no downtime are growing exponentially, and every advance brings more breakthroughs. Today’s lasers can reduce wrinkles, tighten and tone skin, correct pigment, remove red or brown spots, and even erase once indelible tattoos.

Either the v-beam or varilite lasers can be programmed by the dermatologist to the specific needs of individual patients with predictably satisfying results.

Fraxel Sr Laser

Fraxel sr laser leads the field in gentle skin resurfacing, providing all the benefits of the most advanced renewal methods without any of the surface disruption or ensuing downtime. The fraxel is fda approved for four dermatological objectives in particular: wrinkle reduction, pigment correction, acne scar healing and melasma. Microliposuction is also effective for hard-to-contour areas around the waist, arms, thighs, buttocks, knees, ankles and abdomen. During microliposuction, fat deposits are removed by means of a cannula, a very thin, hollow tube attached to a vacuum. This surgical instrument (finer than the one used in major liposuction) is inserted and then manipulated under the skin by the dermatological surgeon. The subdermal fat is then suctioned out through the tube. The microliposuction result is immediately improved body contour in hard-to-target areas. The refined, delicate (and minimal) procedure gives a safe, predictable and satisfying cosmetic result.
