If you come here regularly, annual parking passes are available online for $100. Much easier than making sure you have exactly $3 each time or fighting for spots in the neighborhood.

Bring $3 cash to park, but be nice and hand off your pass to someone pulling in as you're leaving. Be prepared to wait a bit to get parked if your there during the popular hours of the day.

Get there before 8am for easy parking. Only the first quarter mile or so is steep. Take pictures around the first bend for the best panormas

Parking fee has changed more times than I can count... But if you drive a but on Fryman Road, you'll clearly see where the permit parking ends--and you can park in the residential area.

Park on Laurel Canyon to avoid a $3 parking fee. You can also park up the hill @ Tree People (Mulholland and Coldwater Cyn)

Keep to the side while on Fryman Rd because the cars do have the rt of way. Be esp careful for your dogs if ong leash :)

Lots of deer on this hike. Steep uphill walking in the beginning. Doing the loop takes about an hour.

For cross country runners, save your energy as you go up the first hill as it will be the steepest one.

Such a refreshment and peaceful environment. I wish people would pick up after their puppies... it disrupts the running!
