Very classic restaurant
The Friday lunch is one of the best dining experiences anywhere. Arrive at 11:30 to get a table in the downstairs dining room
Beautiful space! Got the oysters Rockefeller based on everyone's suggestions but I think it's an acquired taste
VERY old school. Excellent food, but an older crowd.
Wonderful food and atmosphere, dress well and males have to wear a jacket (they will lend you one).
I felt like I was back in slavery days while dining here. The vintage decor, the black wait staff....but all in all it was decent.
Amazing. The soft shelled crab is delicious, the oysters Rockefeller are wonderful, and the bananas foster is a treat!!
Absolutely wonderful! 5 stars!
Old school, elegant restaurant. Great special occasion venue. Loved the bone marrow appetizers
Serviço diferenciado com talheres de prata. Muito bom o " shrimp au vin".
Didn't live up to expectations sadly. One beef dish had to be sent back as it wasn't cooked correctly and was tough - the replacement was good. Service ok not great. Not going back.
We didn't eat here we just nipped in for a cocktail. I wasn't impressed with the bartender at all.
The Oysters Rockefeller are not to be missed at this old-school New Orleans institution.
Go more for the scenery and people watching than the food. A drink and snack and you'll feel like royalty.
Try the Crab Maison
Try the Godchaux Salad - Bit like a shrimp cocktail meets a chef salad. Shrimp, anchovies, tomato, egg, tangy mustard dressing.
The worst service in New Orleans. She's loud, rude. Her name is Tacy. And yes, the food is excellent!
Fantastic food and great service!!
Pide las ostras Rockefeller y un entrante frío que te ponen cangrejo de mar y de rio y gambas. También la berenjena rellena esta buenísima. Vuelvo el martes a probara más cosas. Shannon 👍camarera
Oysters Rockefeller are amazing
Classic high end New Orleans food and atmosphere. A cross between 5 star elegance and a place where you walk and talk to folks. The Poisson Meunière Amandine and Oysters Rockefeller are to die for.
Ask for Jason P, he's a great waiter!!
Food here is pretty good..two thumbs up
Delicious food for family
They have a James Beard award which is impressive but I wasn't impressed with the food. Main dining room is too bright, crowded and very loud. You can get a better steak somewhere else in NOLA.
Mind the dress code :)
Check out our brand new, beautiful bar w new specialty cocktail menu in the works next door @215 bourbon st...new steakhouse and official grand opening coming in March 2013!
Love everything! I always get the Godchaux Salad!Dress code is enforced. Went this past summer for lunch& all of us were dressed up& had on nice shorts. We had to go bk& change! Blazers req'd for men.
Old-school charm with emphasis on seafood. Pricey for dinner...blazer required.
There's a small bar at the top of the stairs, go enjoy a quiet drink up there before/after food in the bustling dining room & chat with the bartender, always get at least fun conversation.
Stop by and try one of my personal signature cocktails, the 'Mona Lisa' and 'Fleur de Lisa' are growing more and more popular every Friday!
Award-winning, New York Times bestselling author Ruta Sepetys set a party scene in her upcoming novel Out of the Easy in this restaurant. Learn more at
The sweet potato cheesecake is amazing!!!!
The Stuffed Eggplant.
If soft shells are in season, you will not be disappointed. And, if the mood strikes you, enter the flaming world of the Cafe Brulot head out.
this place is a new Orleans must despite the Bourbon St address it is a very classy establishment with excellent food & service.
Having a reflective moment in Galatoire’s mirrored dining room.
We had the: escargot, crab maison, oysters Rockefeller, sweet potato cheesecake. They were all WONDERFUL and my kids loved them too. The place has a little wait but you can get a drink. A great meal
If asked who you want to serve you, ask for Shannon. Excellent service and knowledgeable about food. She won't steer you wrong.
Be sure to order Cafe Brulot at the end of the meal!
