There's a small bar at the top of the stairs, go enjoy a quiet drink up there before/after food in the bustling dining room & chat with the bartender, always get at least fun conversation.

Get here early on Friday for lunch, because you'll be dining with the New Orleans business elite. French-Creole classics are on the menu here, like thick, peppery gumbo and steak with bearnaise sauce.

They have a James Beard award which is impressive but I wasn't impressed with the food. Main dining room is too bright, crowded and very loud. You can get a better steak somewhere else in NOLA.

We got here at 11:35 am on a Friday and could not get seated. Had to put our Names down for a 2 hour wait. We should have come by around 10 am and put our names on the list.

Didn't live up to expectations sadly. One beef dish had to be sent back as it wasn't cooked correctly and was tough - the replacement was good. Service ok not great. Not going back.
