I felt like I was back in slavery days while dining here. The vintage decor, the black wait staff....but all in all it was decent.

Didn't live up to expectations sadly. One beef dish had to be sent back as it wasn't cooked correctly and was tough - the replacement was good. Service ok not great. Not going back.

They have a James Beard award which is impressive but I wasn't impressed with the food. Main dining room is too bright, crowded and very loud. You can get a better steak somewhere else in NOLA.
