House of Nanking is a wildly popular Chinese restaurant in the Bay Area, serving traditional cuisine in a friendly environment.
Terrible service, food is mediocre, avoid
This s is across friends m Francis Ford Copallas production house. Ask for the owner and have him order your meal. He's a good whisperer. ;)
Very authentic. Don't speak English. Ask for what eve they give you. We just paid a fixed price per person and they brought our food. My friend from China said this was the best Chinese food in the US
No need to look past #1 on the lunch menu.. best sesame chicken ever.
Authentic and lots of veggie options! Portions to share
If you can Chinese, ask for the Chinese menu. It's got different items, including noodle soup.
The white fish that I ordered was okay: unexpectedly greasy actually, but my friend enjoyed his Nanking chicken. The service wasn't so good for me as I don't believe in accepting cultural rudeness.
Chicken sesame, beef and stufed mushroom
Great good, reasonable prices, a bit touristy but well worth it!
Let the waiter suggest what you will have
Great Vibe and amazing food
Egg rolls, dumplings, and the house noodles were great.
Pretty amazing place, if you don't know what to get just tell your server to take care of you and they will do the rest. Amazing food!
Line up outside.. Wait patiently and chuck the menu and let the owners bring you a variety of choices.. Yummm
The steamed dumplings and sesame chicken were great.
Delicious chow mein and sesame chicken. Pork egg rolls are fantastic.
Deep fried tofu in black bean sauce
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants ever.
What's good here? Holy crap, what isn't good??
The sesame chicken is insane! I dream about it.
All you need to say is what you like and how hungry you are. Leave the rest to the staff and enjoy!
The Sizzling Rice soup is amazing! Combined with their berry hot tea - this could cure any ailment.
Sweet fish and wonton soup
Tout est bon et savoureux ! Mention spéciale au poulet au sésame <3
Sesame chicken I guess !
I've never used the menu here. Just tell them what you like and how hungry you are and wonderful and tasty food will be produced post haste!
Really full and yummy place. There's usually a line in front of the place and that's why lots of bypassers stop. Good spices. Prices are pretty low. Very social place.
What's good here? Everything.
Simply amazing. I hate Chinese, but could eat here every day for a week. Each dish was different yet superb. Our party ordered 10 different item and not a single bite failed to impress. Long lines.
Estupenda comida china. Servicio rápido pero muy antipáticos. 👹
Sesame chicken and house noodles
Beef and veggies, shrimp dumplings
Don't expect any smiles with the service. It's a bit manic and there is usually a queue at the door to get in.
Excellent all around. The best dumplings.
Garlic bean shoots
Very touristy, but solid food. Like others have said, have the owners order for you, and you'll get some gems that you won't find on the menu.
Fried Onion Cakes - $5.95 http://houseofnanking.net/menu
La comida es rica pero las personas que atienden son súper groseras, nada recomendable
Just tell them how many in your party and let them order for you. You won't be disappointed.
Delicious, fast and cheap!
It's not authentic Chinese food.
Very good Nanking Beef and cheap! Chinatown rulez
sesame chicken: expertly fried chicken tossed in sesame sauce.
Amazing FRESHLY PREPARED Chinese food! We were ordering our plates when the owner cut us off and said "Too much food. Stop here. Plenty". He was right! We were full but not stuffed.
Chicken lettuce wrap- delicious!
Sizzling Rice soup + Salt and Pepper Shrimp = Amazing!
Awesome food! Must try!
Everything is miraculous...especially the garlic noodles. And the dumplings. And the calamari. Skip the shrimp packets.
