Central Texas BBQ without I-35
One of the best spots in town to grab a cold beer and watch a Rangers game--because it'll take you the length of one to finish your meal. [Eater 38 Member]
This meat doesn't need sauce. It's amazing.
Ron Swanson approved.
The bartender rocks ! ! !
Take a couple of buddies and conquer the Shiner Platter, I dare you.
If you are fancy enough to require a fork and BBQ sauce, perhaps you should stay home. This place is great just the way it is!
The brisket is to die for. Do it to it!
Call first in case they are out of food...out of lots today. Nothing Vegetarian.
Off-Key Karoake Saturdays 7pm-11pm
Fantastic 'cue done the Central Texas way (no sauce. Expertly smoked). Great atmosphere. Brisket is to die for. Even chicken is good. Super cool owners in Jill & Jeff. Amazing beard on premises.
Bring your own fork and barbecue sauce. They don't have either here. A bit disappointing.
Yummy pork ribs...shoulder clod...habanero mac n cheese. Beans are sinful
It's by the pound, people. Everyone in a group doesn't need to be in line.
Fabulous deciles eggs!
#BBQKaraoke on Saturday nights 6-11 by Kerry of Off Key Karaoke!
The brisket is amazing.
Eat here. Often.
The best music ever at a BBQ joint. (OK, except for Stubbs in Austin.)
You can't go wrong with anything beef!
Beef ribs on wednesday! Get there early cause they go fast
Try a sample of the burnt ends.
Buy a T Shirt and wear it each time you come here... You get 10% off and free beer.
Brisket Deviled Eggs. Lockhart pumps up the flavor and plays with the texture by incorporating bits of brisket into the mix. These little things are addictive.
The slaw. Lockhart has some fancier cole slaws, including a bleu cheese-based one, but the buried sriracha, paprika and cayenne in their titular one elevates it past just cabbage and mayo.
Get the bread pudding!!!!!!!
Ok let's see....the brisket is AMAZING, the baby back rib TO DIE FOR, the Lockhart cole slaw DELICIOUS, the potato salad YUMMY and the habanero Mac 'n Cheese (beware) SPICY!!
Saturday nights it serves up some pretty mean karaoke. Get here early, as with many of the best barbecue eateries, the choice cuts can sell out fast.
Beef rib is huge, tender, and flavorful. It is to die for! One is enough. $15 and avail only on Wed.
Come early, the ribs ran out at 7 this Saturday.
Brisket. That's all you will ever need or want from this place. AMAZING.
You have to try to smoke deviled eggs they are awesome!
Get the Habanero Mac and a Lone Star
The brisket is magical. No sauce needed it melts in your mouth.
Don't ask for wheat bread. Apparently it offends them
Try the beans!!!
Best barbecue I have had period. Will definitely be back
Great beef ribs and awesome mac and cheese!
Thanks for one if the best Bloody Mary in town, Daniel. (Vodka soaked in numerous different peppers.)
Unleash the carnivore in you.
We show up and they say "we're out of food" never again!
Call before you go. They only make so much BBQ. Drove 10 min and $20 cab ride for nothing.
You can't go wrong with anything here on the menu. Staff is so friendly and welcoming! The Mac & cheese is amazing and you have to try hominy!
Real Texas BBQ. The brisket was smokey and delicious, without a lot of bells and whistles.
Try the blue cheese hominy
hands down the best reasonably priced Q in town...a must try for everyone!!
The food here is not delicious. Bbq sauce is bored! The parking is terrible. Not worth my time to come back here again ever!
Burnt ends from the Brisket, drool. The mac & cheese, the sausage, the BBQ jam; it goes on and on. Menu changes up somewhat daily as to whats available - or - whatever Will feels like making. #beard
