The oldest still-operating bar in Beacon has been re established as the town's hottest night spot and has a menu featuring inventive American comfort food.
The best bar and restaurant in town, hands down.
If you don't eat here, you hate America. #TheBestEver
Come for the food. Stay for the drinks. Miss your train for the people.
The pierogies are AMAZING!!
Jesse is the best (and he's honest about the mozzarella sticks, too). Get the pierogis and tip your bartender.
Thursday night karaoke at Max's...9pm...be there or be square...
Perogies are delicious!
The best bar tenders
Meet me on Main for Karaoke on Thursdays at 9pm.
Chicken Caesar wrap is phenomenal, and so big it becomes 2 meals.. for under $10. This place never disappoints.
The chicken fingers are delicious, but come hungry, each one is a full chicken!
Really love this place. Huge portions, lovely and friendly staff, good value, and tons of fun stuff on wall. Go!
The best bar food around. Very underrated.
The pierogies are incredible!
Best bar in town, by far. I think it's the super-friendly owners.
Great people, live music on the weekends, you can't go wrong!
Pastrami Reuben...enough said.
The chicken soup cures hangovers, colds, flus, broken limbs and more
don't cram the entire fry into your mouth, yes they are delicious but they are also very hot and will burn your palate.
Love this place. If you're in Beacon for the day or weekend you should totally stop by here for lunch or dinner. It's family-owned and the vibe is great and food is yummy. Generous portions too!
The pulled pork sandwich blew me away. Heavy on the sauce but well worth it. One of the best I've ever had. Hot open turkey sandwich was thoroughly enjoyed by people with me too. I would come again!
I love this place. THE best on Main Street!
Come to Beacon, NY for the art. Stay a little longer for the perogies.
This place is a home away from home! Amazing food, great specials, awesome staff and kick ass owners! You won't be disappointed with anything on the menu!
the margaritas are choice and the chicken fingers are delish :)
Max's is home to plentiful, tasty & comforting, dishes that are sure to satisfy any hungry patron. Live bands, trivia & karaoke do not disappoint.Truly the melting pot of the Beacon bar scene. Enjoy.
Fish Tacos and ice cold beer!
Thursday nights for fun karaoke. Rally your croaking troops.
Try the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Piccata.
The Rib Eye Steak is never a disappointment!! (I leave off the Shallot Compound Butter - the steak is so good it's just not needed!!)
The beef stew (which is only occasionally offered as a special) should not be missed.
Perogies are perfect
For cocktails, try a Maxtini - a play on a Cosmo that add grapefruit juice for kick of sour-sweet flavor.
No mixologists at Max's - Just good, old-fashioned bartenders.
Corn fritters are the best ever !
Out of work for dinner, hot pastrami on rye
Phenomenal old fashioned Onion Soup
I recommend trying "Max's almost famous sauce" on your wings -- there's a little Asian kick (sweetness) with their hot sauce.
The right dinner choice for Beacon. The Perogis and Onion soup were as good as people say. We really enjoyed the steak and pulled pork sandwiches.
Avocado cheddar sandwich is amazing!!
Try the Teriyaki hot wings. They're technically not on the menu so you have to ask for them specifically.
Highly recco the Main & Walnut. Kind of like candy in adult beverage form but not sickly sweet. Nachos are huge and delicious. 1st time here. will def be back to eat our way thru the menu.
The burger is really tasty but finishing it is a challenge. Split it with a friend and live to fight another day.
Ask for the henny hoo! It's strange but delicious!
The people upstairs are sketchy
On the nights they have a band, you can't have a conversation! Too loud! Bartenders get props for the drinks though.
