Doing the audio tour is not essential for the tour but it is helpful. Enjoy the beauty of this place and look for the koi fish.

This is mission is rich with California history. Don't bother with bringing stuff to do. Just park downtown, walk to the mission and visit the historic district and all its shops.

Fuel up your Nook, Kindle or iPad with Gathering the Indigo Maidens by Cecilia Velástegui. The story touches on the real-life historical figure, Modesta Ávila from San Juan Capistrano in 1889.
