Ruins from 1812 earthquake. Heavy on the Serra adoration- not much mention of the Native America victims. But the grounds are beautiful and peaceful
This place is beautiful, perfect for a wedding.
Doing the audio tour is not essential for the tour but it is helpful. Enjoy the beauty of this place and look for the koi fish.

This is mission is rich with California history. Don't bother with bringing stuff to do. Just park downtown, walk to the mission and visit the historic district and all its shops.
Never had been before but my grandma wanted to go back. It was beautiful! The gardens and fountains were gorgeous. Go if you can!

Did you know that the Chapel in Mission San Juan Capistrano - built in 1782 - is the oldest building in California, still in use today?
entrance is on the Ortega Hwy meets Camino Capistrano. We didn't know at first so mistaken San Juan Capistrano church as Mission but found out after few minutes inside the church
