14-course tasting menu all the way. Amazing. Culinary techie Homaro Cantu needs to be seen first hand as words cannot express his genius.

If you are around at the end of the evening, ask for a kitchen tour. They will do a vegetarian 9 course meal. Unlike some similar restaurants, the portions are 4-6 bites instead of 1-3.

We did the longer tasting menu. Impressive. All but a couple mouthfuls were outrageously tasty. All were inventive. Glad I came during winter, because I loved the focus on root vegetables.

Had an amazing 15-course Culinary journey. Very outrageous and out-of-the-box creations by the chefs. Food tasted amazing, "The Paradise" dessert was my personal favorite. One of Chicago's gem!

Ask for a booth so there won't be any spoilers from the other diners in the main room. The element of surprise here important!

Homaro Cantu pushes familiar foods into an alternate universe while, at his best, delighting taste buds as much as evoking visual awe. Tastings of rare wines apt for the 15-course menu ($160). Read more
