The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) is dedicated to making contemporary art accessible to diverse audiences – especially underserved populations – through the collection, preservation and exhibition of the best of contemporary art and its art historical influences.
Two rooms. It's basically the same thing over and over again- just a load of bad, untalented artwork. But it's a great area, many antique furniture shops to go in if you are bored.
Special attention is paid to programming, such as concerts from local bands and classes taught by Miami-Dade educators. Pop in on nonevent days to browse edgy pieces and visiting installations.
Art Basel Event.
Small but influential MOCA stages intriguing shows by executive director Bonnie Clearwater and hotshot young curator Alex Gartenfeld, as well as permanent outdoor installations.
